-Import Procedure Update-

The BAHFSA (Bahamas Agriculture Health & Food Safety Authority)
ePermitting system is now live.

"The Bahamas Agricultural Health and Food Safety Authority (BAHFSA) is responsible for the regulation of animal health, plant health, and food safety in The Bahamas. BAHFSA is pleased to inform you that to make trade easier for the private sector and to protect the country against new biological threats we are transitioning the permitting process for plant and animal products to the Click-to-Clear platform.
September 1st, 2024, all permit applications are to be submitted, paid for, and received through BAHFSA’s ePermitting system hosted on Customs Click-to-Clear system. This new regime reduces wait times for permit applications to be processed and reduces costs to customer."
