Mr. Bennett, a former aide to Mr. Netanyahu who opposes a Palestinian state, and Yair Lapid, who is set to take Mr. Bennett’s place after two years, lead an eight-party alliance that agrees on little but a desire to oust Mr. Netanyahu, the longest-serving leader in the country’s history, and to end Israel’s lengthy political gridlock.

The new government consists of eight parties, which range from the left to the far right. In addition, for the first time a Palestinian party, the United Arab List (Hebrew acronym Ra’am), is also a member of a government coalition.

Blackburn spearheaded the new entrant cellular provider since inception, 1st July 2016, as its Chief ALIV Officer, having spent twenty years working at C suite level with Virgin Mobile, BT Group, Digicel and Vodafone in the USA, European & Caribbean regions. A key part of the team that launched Virgin Mobile in UK, over a six-year period he was instrumental in revolutionizing the telecoms market in the UK, creating hundreds of jobs in the process & leading to an IPO on the London Stock Exchange. In addition to his Virgin Mobile experience, he has held key roles at Digicel as Regional CEO of the Eastern, Northern and Dutch Caribbean markets, CEO of Digicel’s largest market in Haiti and its operation in Honduras. While Group Business Development Director, he led Digicel’s entry into the Cable TV market across multiple markets.
