This is me. This has been my kryptonite. My entire 20’s I was either pregnant or breastfeeding. After having 4 kids, I asked myself is there any coming back from what my stomach looks like? I changed my diet, I exercised more, I even went to school and got certified I also took courses for diastasis recti. Thanks .
Nothing helped me.
I lost weight, I gained muscle. I lost confidence, I gained knowledge. It was a cycle where I even thought of quitting as a trainer, because I felt like a fraud who would offer women core strengthening exercises and I can’t even fix mine. Yet, my clients saw results. Then, I realized I compared myself to other women whose story isn’t even similar to mine. (4 kids within 5 years including twins weighing 15 lbs and my smallest baby was 7 lbs)
Then, I met Dr Neil. He said, “Britt, you’ve literally done all that you can.” MY DIASTASIS RECTI WAS EXTREMELY WIDE. 12cm to be exact. Anything more than 5cm is considered SEVERE.
I’m here by the grace of God thanking Him for answering my prayers. Surrender your desires to God and He will make a way for your physical healing. He will present the right trainer, the right doctor, at the right time. He will give you the strength to continue to work on your health. It is indeed your temple He wants us to take care of it, because He blessed us with it and our family needs us at your best.
