Traversing through Law School and beyond with a sound mind "
The 21st century learner faces strong challenges which we hardly pay attention to and among those challenges is the threat to mental health. A threat which doesn't end with school but can be a livelong burden. FALAS Botswana recognizes the challenges posed to your mental health as a University Student and has brought together experts and individuals who have walked the path you are walking before and know ways around it. Our seminar will cover areas ranging from taking care of one's mental health all the way to developing emotional intelligence and surviving law school, job searching and the work environment.
All law students from all institutions around the country in all levels are therefore invited to this webinar to hear first hand on how to go about with regards to one's mental health.

โAbout the Day of the African Child
The Day of the African Child is a commemoration of the Soweto Uprising in 1976, when students protested against education injustice and inequality in the apartheid regime. Initiated by the Organisation of African Unity (now African Union) it is celebrated on June 16 every year since 1991.
The theme for the Day of the African Child in 2024 is โEducation for all children in Africa: the time is nowโ, aligning with the African Unionโs Year of Education which focuses on building resilient education systems to ensure increased access to inclusive, lifelong, quality and relevant learning in Africa.โ (sourced from unicef)
โIt is not our differences that divide us. It is our inability to recognize, accept and celebrate those differences.โ-Audre Lorde
As the world celebrates pride month, remember to โlove yourself, whatever makes you different, and use it to make you stand out.โ-Ross Mathews
โMen are not prisoners of fate, but only prisoners of their own mindsโ-Franklin D. Roosevelt
As we progress into this month, let it be known to all the men that you donโt have to suffer and struggle in solitude.
Remember, its okay not to be okay, you do not always have to be strong. Strength is not just in the body, but in the mind as well.
Always take time to look after your mental health๐โค๏ธ
Goodluck to everyone writing their examinations!!! you got this!!! use this reading time to fully understand the concepts, and dont forget to read cases and understand their principles!!!๐
Join us in commemorating the month of May as the mental health awareness month!
