We are looking for an astute Procurement Officer to oversee purchasing activities and ensure that purchased items are both cost-efficient and of high quality. The Procurement Officer's responsibilities include maintaining positive supplier relations, evaluating supply options, approving purchases, and maintaining accurate records.
To be successful as a procurement officer you should have an analytical mind and keep up with product and service trends. Ultimately, a top Procurement Officer should be able to negotiate well and ensure that all purchases comply with company standards.
Responsibilities:
• Overseeing all activities of the Purchasing Department.

A.S.A Enterprise hosted Ground Water Management Training Seminar under the theme "Design, Construction and Development of Cost Efficient Borehole and Ensuring Borehole Productivity and Longevity". The Training Seminar was hosted in Travel Lodge Conferencing Facility, that took place from the 29th to 30th May 2023 from 0800HRS to 1800HRS for the Baroid Industrial Drilling Products by Halliburton while on the 31st of May 2023 from 1400HRS to 1800HRS they was a presentation on Louver Screens and Casings Products Manufactured by Roscoe Moss.

Drilling fluids are integral to success of any drilling operation, regardless of whether it is a Water Well, Mineral Exploration, Horizontal Directional Drilling, Construction (piling/foundation), Micro tunneling, geotechnical, environmental or geothermal heat loop business. A well designed and maintained drilling fluid will improve production rates by stabilizing the borehole, effectively removing the cuttings and cooling and lubricating the bit and rods. Baroid IDP has been a global leader in drilling fluids technology and education for over 50 years and was proud to partner with A.S.A Enterprises Pty Ltd to bring this Training Seminar to Botswana.

The Training Seminar attendees learnt how to design and build drilling fluids based on formation geology, fluid properties and testing for drilling fluid maintenance and solids control, product usage and selection to achieve desirable fluid properties, Air drilling techniques, grouting and sealing and Water Well Development for well productivity and longevity. While on day 3, the Training Seminar attendees got a chance to cultivate their mind on Principles of Efficient Production Well Design and get more insight on Steel Casing Selection for Ground Water Production Wells, Well Screen Manufacturing and Design, Gravel Envelope Well Design Considerations, as well as Well Development, Testing, and Performance Evaluation. A.S.A. Enterprises collaborated with the following speakers to bring this event to life.

Dr. Robert Petrie, a Professional Engineer with over 30 years’ experience in the drilling Industry and has been teaching Drilling Fluids for 18 years. He is also in charge of Business Development of Halliburton in Houston, Texas - U.S.A.

Kevin McGillicuddy, a Chief Hydro-Geologist for the Roscoe Moss Company with 40 Years of experience working nationally and internationally on Ground Water Development projects. Kevin is a founding member and Chair of the California/Nevada American Water Works Association Water Well Technology Committee and a member of the American Water Works Association A100 Well Standards Committee. He is a Registered Geologist in the State of California. Kevin is the recipient of the 2022 National Groundwater Association’s McEllhiney Distinguished Lecturer Award.
