One might ask, what is a palpitation?
It may be defined as a skipped, extra or irregular heartbeat. It is an abnormal heart rhythm which occurs when an electrical signal fires from the wrong place at the wrong time resulting in the heart to beating out of rhythm.

Should you experience frequent or severe palpitations which are accompanied by chest pains, dizziness, shortness of breath, be sure to seek medical attention.
