The Ministry of Education and Skills Development, says the quality of the education system in Botswana is very low and concerning.

When debating the State of the Nation Address in Parliament yesterday, The Assistant Minister in the Ministry, Nnaniki Makwinja, who is also Member of Parliament for Lentsweletau-Mmopane, said the education system is diluted, and seems to focus more on the conditions of service of teachers, and not the child.

She however, noted that there are a lot of teachers who are very frustrated because they want to focus on the child, but do not have the necessary resources to do so.
