The theme for this year's commemoration is “Building a Sustainable Future: The Role of NGOs in Achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).”

Our focus has been grassroots engagement, advocacy, capacity building, filling gaps in services, innovation, collaboration, and accountability. For the longest time, we have been intervening in sustainable development as the driving force for positive change in the world.

We recognize and celebrate the contribution & profound impact Non-Governmental Organisations have made and continue to make in this country's development.

The 26th of February 2024 to 15th March 2024 is the supplementary voter registration period.

These past two weeks Botswana Council of NGOs hosted stakeholder dialogues on prioritized thematic areas, civic participation, democratic governance, electoral process and Debt Capital.

This activity is part of an ongoing project titled "Botswana Constitutional Review Process: Towards A People Driven Constitution" supported by the European Union in Botswana in partnership with Ditshwanelo - The Botswana Centre for Human Rights, Emang Basadi Women Association, BONELA.

NOTICE OF ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

Tomorrow, BONELA will be at Letlhakane hosting stakeholder dialogues on prioritized thematic areas, human rights, socio-economic & cultural rights.
This activity is part of an ongoing project titled "Botswana Constitutional Review Process: Towards A People Driven Constitution."

Yesterday, the team wrapped up the stakeholder dialogues at Maun dissecting on the progressive realization of economic, social & cultural rights & how they are intrinsically connected to transformative constitutionalism.

We are for the idea that, Batswana have the right to know, understand what the constitution is, what are its functions and how it should serve them as its citizens, in the same way they can participate in the Constitutional Review Process from an informed perspective.
