ENDEAVOUR SAFARIS
Disabled travel, wheelchair accessible safaris and tours, senior adventures and holidays for persons
Walking Safaris in Botswana - We are fortunate to live in one of the most pristine and famous wetlands on earth, prolific with Wildlife and from a walking perspective, also very flat. This flatness of the Okavango Delta also means that walking can be easily achieved by many, providing the walk embarked upon is pre-discussed and decided according to the abilities of the guests.

The podcast episode: "From Accessible Travel to Inclusive Travel Today" featuring your interviews is now live and can be accessed here.
The conversation touched on the points:
1. The Educational Sphere around Accessible Travel: the training needed amongst the tourism operators in order to deliver great travel experiences for travellers with limited mobility or disabilities.
2. The Supply Chain and all the parts involved in delivering the perfect travel experience: from the travel enquiry to the accommodation, the transport and all the logistics.
3. The Hotel experience and how can hotel rooms & suites be more accessible and inclusive without compromising the look and feel of the space.
4. Normalise Accessible Travel and the conversations we have both with the clients and the suppliers: how do we shift from accessible to inclusive.
5. The Business Volume: is it big enough to prompt more investments and much needed changes?
6. The role of Governments and the public authorities in tourism and travel in Accessible Travel, where do the private operators feel supported and where, instead, lack of support negatively impacts the outcome of the travel experience.

Walking Safaris in Botswana can be achieved by almost anyone willing orenthusiastic to try. We are fortunate to live in one of the most pristine and famouswetlands on earth, prolific with Wildlife. The flatness of the Okavango Delta alsomeans that walking can be easily achieved by many, providing the walk embarkedupon is pre-discussed and decided according to the abilities of the guests.
There are many options of walks available and can be tailormade to better suit thewalkers. The days of thinking that walking can only be assosciated with tough andrough conditions are long gone. We can do walking as a part of an itinerary, whereby it just compliments all the other activities on offer at the Lodges ortented camps, or the other possibility is to actually walk between some of theplaces that you stay at, so instead of flying or boating or driving, you walk.
Having the luxury of sleeping at some of our finest lodge type accommodation and combining it with the excitement and adventure of a walking safaris is definitely an amazing experience.

Mike and team passed Xigera lagoon do***ng lots of hippos and arrived or I should say got stuck in the Xore Flat. Today they will dig their way out of the flattest part of the Delta and enter the Southern part.
In the meantime the flood has beaten them through the Buffalo Fence, yehhhhhhhhhhhhhh. 4 more days to go.....hopefully the volume of water will increase and they will be able to paddle through it.
