On May 16th Westland was thrilled to take part in Kwantlen Polytechnic University's Industry Insider Series! May 5 is Red Dress Day. On this day, we wear red to honour the lives of Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls (MMIWG).

Red Dress Day started as an art series called the REDress Project in 2010 by Métis artist Jaime Black. With the goal to raise awareness about the MMIWG crisis, Red Dress Day is now commemorated annually across the country on May 5.
