Let’s talk about different kinds of lavender! This is English lavender, Lavandula Angustifolia, and it’s growing in our labyrinth and in most of the garden beds. It blooms earlier than French lavender, has brighter purple blooms, and shorter stems. Many varieties of English lavender will re-bloom at the end of August if you harvest them after the first bloom. You will find it in our shop in fresh cut bunches (seasonal), dried bundles, and 2 gallon plants. You can also taste it in our baking, ice cream, lemonade, and lattes on weekends. We grow many varieties of English lavender, and a few that have pink or white blooms.

We’re giving away four tickets for THIS WEEKEND for our early bloom.

Tickets are valid for this weekend only.
Giveaway closes tomorrow morning at 9 AM.
Old-fashioned flowers in the farmhouse sink: columbine, sweet rocket, bachelor’s buttons and spirea. I can imagine the woman who lived here 100 years ago picking flowers like these for her kitchen table. She wouldn’t have posted them on Instagram, but I think the simple delight of bringing a bit of nature inside to enjoy is the same.
✨Dahlia Giveaway and Sale!✨
We are almost finished planting dahlias here at the farm and we are giving away one of our Dahlia Garden Boxes. Our $30 boxes have 8-10 tubers of various colours and types, and they are discounted because they are a bulk size and a random selection of the dahlias we grow here at the farm. It’s enough to give you a beautiful start if you’ve been wanting to grow your own patch of dahlias. 🌸
We have a limited amount of boxes to sell, and we’re giving two away! This week is the perfect time to plant them. Here’s how to enter:
1. Tag some friends who love dahlias.
2. Follow us here on IG.
3. Be able to pick up your box of tubers here at the farm (they are not eligible for shipping)
4. Bonus points if you share this post in stories.
Send us a DM if you want to purchase a box!
The giveaway closes Friday, May 27 at midnight.

Happy Easter! He is risen!
The stove in the farmhouse kitchen is so special it needs its own post! It’s and though we were lucky to find a floor model on a great sale it’s definitely bit ridiculous to put that spectacular of a stove into an airbnb. However, I was so in love with the vintage vibe of this kitchen with its reclaimed wood, original brick chimney and zellige tile that I couldn’t put in a modern-looking stove. Plus we have plans for the farmhouse a decade or so from now. (They involve future grandchildren and no, it’s never too early to plan ahead for these things.) 😉
The unassuming stars of the earliest spring garden, these hellebores bloom quietly and beautifully in a downright dark corner of the farm under huge cedars. Every March I think: I need many, many more of these! What are your favourite hellebore varieties?
Beauty in the gardens in deep winter: sunrise over the lily pond, sunflower skeletons, and frosted lavender.
It’s the same room from the same angle just a few months and a thousand design decisions apart! All the decor in the farmhouse is a mixture of a few things that were here already (the lamps and table), finds (the ceiling!), antique treasures (.and.home for the brass leaf table), and a few special new pieces (the pillow that brings it all together!)
Happy New Year! Here are some your favourite posts from this year. May there be many flowers and much joy in your future!
1. Lanterns and hydrangeas in the old orchard garden.
2. An armload of wildflowers.
3. The wisteria arbour in early May.
4. Pink roses.
5. Bees at work in the lavender.
6. French lavender.
Merry Christmas from all of us at Tuscan Farm Gardens! We’ve had a truly white Christmas, and everyone is thrilled. So if you happen to see a hockey puck in the flowerbeds in summer, you’ll know why. 😂🎄⛸
How is your Christmas shopping coming? I’m almost finished! I was a literature teacher before I was a mother or farmer, and I spend way too long each December choosing a stack of books for each family member that I am sure they will love. Each stack of books is topped with one of our organic essential soaps and a bow. 🎁 We have a big sale on all our soaps until Saturday, and if you want our products for Christmas, we we recommend ordering this week! If you’re local, don’t forget we have free pick up at the farm.
Roses in December.
BLACK FRIDAY SALE! Get any 3 of our organic essential soaps for $15.99.
I love tucking a bar of soap into stockings or bringing one as a hostess gift because they are so practical (everyone needs soap!) and smell amazing. Have you tried them all? What are your top 3? 👇

Who’s ready for Christmas? Or even starting to think about decorating? We are still trying to get through our fall work here on the farm, but the Christmas movies that were filmed in our house this season have started airing - Christmas Treasure is airing tonight at 8 pm on the W network and was filmed here and , two of the locations on the Mt Lehman Christmas house tour. Tell me how it is, because I am still trying to clean up leaves and get my dahlias out of the ground! 😜
This week’s highlight: when the rain stops just long enough for a simultaneous sunset and rainbow.
Thank you so much for a wonderful season! We love it that our farm is a place for you to enjoy the beauty of flowers in bloom, savour delicious flavours, connect with nature and spend time with people you care about. It’s why we put in the hard work, and it makes it all worthwhile.
The shop and the gardens are now closed for the season, though we are hosting weddings and booking private photo sessions. You can find our products online all year, and we have free pickup at the farm for our local customers. Here on Instagram we will continue to share the beauty of the gardens through the seasons, and will be sharing more about the soon-to-be-extremely-charming late 1800’s farmhouse we are currently renovating to be a year-round Airbnb on the farm! There are lots of fun behind-the-scenes stories about the process, and some TRULY startling before and afters that I can’t wait to share with you!!! (After a short Instagram break! 😅) Thank you, friends!
Love,
The Warkentin’s and the rest of the Tuscan Farm Gardens team
We love seeing your beautiful moments and photos in the lavender. And though we wish it could last forever, time is running out: there’s only one week left! Our last day is next Sunday, July 25, so don’t miss out!

We’re closed Wednesday, July 7 for filming. Normal hours resume on Thursday, July 8.
Too many of us move quickly through our lives, without taking time to notice or reflect on what is around us or inside us. But here in the labyrinth, time seems to slow. The colours, the fragrance, the mix of textures and shades of green and purple - you may find your pace effortlessly slowed in the best way. We’re closed tomorrow for filming, but open Thursday to Sunday.
We’re getting ready for an amazing weekend: sunshine, ice cream, and the lavender labyrinth in full bloom!
Yes it’s a heatwave, but lavender is a cool colour, so there’s that! We’re open until 8 PM today, and the lavender is blooming. 💜 We’ve got new lavender ginger spritzers, ice cream and lemonade, and shady spots to enjoy them amongst the flowers.
