RSR-Road Surface Recycling Limited
The RSR Hot In-Place Recycling Ltd. (HIPR) process far exceeds the current way roads are paved today.
It is time to embrace the technology of the future, Hot In-place Recycling and make everyday Earth Day. If you have never heard of HIR, educate yourself on the process and better understand how we can lower GHG's and save tax dollars, by building stronger and longer lasting roads. RSR's HIR is the process that can also reduce RAP piles of wasted tax payer dollars. But remember not all HIR processes are the same. To obtain roads that last more than 15+ years, then RSR's HIR is the process your looking for and we would be happy to answer any questions you may have. Visit www.pave.green to learn more about our process.
Change is great when it's a technology that truly is environmentally friendly, cost less - saving tax dollars, and lasts more than 15 years. We need to embrace the changes that Hot In-place Reycycling can provide for our roads. https://pave.green/
Did you know that we have the technology that can "recycle" the pitted and potholed roads that we are driving on today? Yes, these are the roads that are continually wreaking havoc on your car. We can build stronger and longer lasting roads. We simply need to eliminate the red tape!
Let your MPP and your Regional and Municipal leaders know that you want to "Hot In-place Recycle" your roads. You, the taxpayer, own these roads. It is your tax dollar that is used to build and maintain the roads that keep on breaking down. Let's start doing what's best and build infrastructure that can stand the test of time.

The Transportation Research Board Meeting is happening tomorrow! This meeting is sharing critical information about how to extend our road "life-cycles" with Alberta bitumen, because the asphalt cements currently being used today are failing prematurly. The knowledge and technology that is scientificly backed research on how to build roads that last 20 plus years will be shared at this event. The research validates it is possible and can be done. This will allow for better assest management of the taxpayers moneis to extend road life cycles, like the roads used to in the past, until the REOB's (recycled engine oil bottoms) and polymer binder era was implemented. https://www.linkedin.com/posts/simon-hesp-ph-d-a197ab90_albertabinder-trbconference-trb2024-activity-7149520592604442624-cUAi?utm_source=share&utm_medium=member_desktop

RSRs equipment working at the intersection of Moonlight Road and the Kingsway (city dump road). Minimal smoke emitted, with low traffic disruption. Our equipment 100% recycled this intersection in about 30 minutes, leaving a brand new refurbished surface to drive on right after, all while saving taxpayer money significantly.
This is the same section the city decided to turn into Swiss cheese with testing cores. We still await a response from city of Sudbury as we approach the 7th week since being shut down.

Below are pictures of a massive stockpile in Sudbury owned by the citizens managed by the city, left to leech toxins into your soil and water, contaminating the land and effecting wildlife.
With our process, the citizens could actually rest assure that no material or money is being wasted.
The Kingsway in Sudbury, on the right is what we 100% recycled, on the left is the road we weren’t able to do because the city shut down RSRs operations.
One of the main challenges on this job was handling the massive amounts of crack filler the road had as seen, we overcame this problem just as we were overcoming other issues during this pilot project, until the city shut the pilot project down….
We hope the city can be transparent and honest with their findings as we approach a month and a half of waiting, which originally was said to only take 3-4 weeks.

Yonge Street in York Region was repaved using our innovative method 25 years ago. Remarkably, it continues to excel even today. However, despite the consistent performance and durability of our product, doubts persist about its longevity and quality.
Considering the undeniable success of our approach, one might wonder why city engineers and politicians aren't advocating for its wider adoption. Its ability to outlast traditional paving while being more cost-effective and environmentally friendly should prompt them to embrace it.
Given the Ontario government's environmental aspirations, there's a paradox in sidelining a proven green company like ours. How can they achieve their environmental goals when they're not leveraging a method that clearly aligns with sustainability?
In contrast to conventional methods that involve multiple steps and often result in roads lasting up only 6 years, our process utilizes on-site material, rejuvenates it, and paves it in a single pass, delivering roads that endure for over 20 years. Our equipment remains consistently engaged throughout, ensuring a newly paved road with no interruptions.
The conventional method involves unnecessary hauling of old material to stockpiles (which in itself is a huge issue), likely never to be used again, as well as transporting new material to the job site for paving. This contributes to the heavy traffic, a lot of GHG emissions and construction-related inconveniences that often frustrate citizens.
Some city engineers after we tell them to work with and most importantly learn from RSR since we’ve been recycling roads 100% with lasting results since the 90’s;
Same road, same spot but a 23 year difference. Most conventionally paved roads do NOT last this long while also costing the city and tax payers up to 5x more then our 100% recycling method. We understand new things can be intimidating… but this isn’t new and our work speaks for itself.
Time for the cities to stand by their promises and go green for a better future and for the generations to come.
In 2003, Dynamic Dr in Scarborough was entirely recycled by RSR. Despite serving as a bus route and enduring heavy semi-truck traffic, the road remains impeccable. Notably, there are no potholes on this road over the years. Attached in the last picture is a conventionally paved road, that joins our road through an intersection, showcasing the stark contrast in durability and performance, as our 100% recycled road significantly outperforms it.
RSR provides a more cost efficient, longer lasting road all while being significantly more environmentally friendly for the citizens of Ontario, reach out to your local council and request RSR to do your roads!
Being stopped on the job when RSR is saving taxpayers money, natural resources and time while transforming deficient poor quality asphalt into good passing quality asphalt just doesn’t sit right with us either. Here’s a cartoon we put together for the citizens to hopefully get a laugh!

RSR in the news! Bill Leduc, City Council, and the residents of the Greater City of Sudbury declared a climate change emergency in 2019. Leading by example for the other 649 municipalities in Canada. RSR HIR is in the process of a 100% recycled paving contract for Sudbury, saving 75% GHG’s and 90% of the “non-renewable resources” for future generations, while saving the taxpayers millions of dollars.
As an environmentally friendly 100% recycled asphalt paving process, we rejuvenate the road that taxpayers have already paid for; thus, allowing the same road materials to last another 15 to 20 years, which is Asset Management “101”. Led by Tony Ceccutti General Manager of Growth and Infrastructure, Project Manager Miranda Edwards along with City Council, the Sudbury Team is working hand in hand, to build stronger, faster, cleaner, & greener roads.
“Mixing old with new, crews in Greater Sudbury are repairing the city’s roads using a process calls hot-in-place paving.”

Our 25th Anniversary...
We are proud to say this is our 25th Year of Hot In-place Recycled Asphalt Paving! Our record of longevity exceeds us and we proudly tout many of our roads are still in service 15 to 20 years later. Municipalities need to implement HIR into every bid specification as an option in their toolkit. By doing so, we can lower greenhouse gasses and pave more road km’s for the same budget tax dollars. We believe in our technology and our organization. We want to thank all our past customers and look with gratitude to the future. Now that we are back in Ontario, Canada where it all began, is as if we have come home and full circle. 2020 will no doubt be an amazing year of growth and expansion for RSR.
