Spent the weekend in Hershy, PA at an ILADS Lyme conference (for mostly Medical Doctors).
2nd photo is a slide from a PANS/PANDAS encouraging everyone to use herbal medicine which can be just as effective as drugs.
Beautiful.
Are you excited for Christmas like Leo, or feeling more like Teddy stuck in the snow?
Book a last minute appointment to get your b12 shot, or adrenal energy tune up before the holidays!
Gardening season is here!
Teddy Collings is the cutest Mandrake I've ever planted.
More research published linking the role of chronic infectious organisms (bacteria, viruses etc) in inflammatory & rheumatic pains. ..
Obviously as a Lyme literate doc, I've has been shouting about chronic infections causing fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue symptoms for years. Nice to see more evidence backing it up.

Seth Godin is an entrepreneur with a really great blog for both business and life advice. I found this one particularly helpful:
"
Blaming the Weather is a Trap:
āIf it were only nicer out, Iād be happier.ā..
When we focus on external forces and tie them directly to our state of mind, weāre giving up agency.
The hard-won privilege of being in control of our own status and peace of mind.
Without a doubt, there are situations that are unfair, abusive or dangerous. And we should work to fix them or walk away if we possibly can. However, we donāt have to link these external forces to the way we choose to talk to ourselves. We can decide to claim possibility and take action instead.
Roz Zander teaches us to avoid, āIām on vacation but itās raining.ā Itās far more powerful and useful to think, āIām on vacation and itās rainingā¦ what should I do with this moment?ā
The story we tell ourselves belongs to us and only us. Itās entirely possible that someone selfishly or thoughtlessly put a story there. Itās possible that there isnāt enough empathy or fairness or opportunity. But once we see that weāre able to own our story, we gain a huge amount of power. And we retain that power for as long as we refuse to hand it over to someone else.
If the blame and the anger isnāt going to change the situation, better to reclaim our agency instead.

Blaming the weather is a trap āIf it were only nicer out, Iād be happier.ā Thatās just a step away from, āIf the current world crisis would abate, then Iād be able to concentrate.ā Whicā¦
Apparently it's national Sons day. Here is a happy Leo at Murphy's Farm market last weekend.
Dr. Schore isn't a LLND (Lyme literate Naturopathic doctor), but he is brilliant (having met him at oncology conferences).
He's also a good writer, reminding us of this simple trick you can do to decrease lyme & tick populations around your house/area.

Tick Tubes: Stopping Lyme in Its Tracks JACOB SCHOR, ND, FABNOĀ This past winter, my wife and IĀ saved all the cardboard tubes at the core of toilet paper and paper towel rolls. TodayĀ (early March),Ā IĀ willĀ use them to makeĀ ātickĀ tubes.āĀ Our nearest neighbor, a now-retired gynecologist, has already put his tubes out,Ā and Iām...
Baby Leo doesn't like Mondays. We can't blame him.
It sure is easier to face the new week if you have a Naturopathic Doctor helping you sleep/ balance your hormones/ keep your energy up!
This is a book I found very helpful early on. Being Mortal, by Atul Gawande; a US surgeon. Helped me deal with death & grieving and the fact we are all mortal.
Sheds some interesting light on western vs eastern cultures and perceptions around aging & death from an MD who deals with death almost daily. Spoiler alert; our loved ones and every single one of us will die one day, maybe this book can help with preparation.
