New Podcast interview! "From Severe Brain Injury to TEDx Speaker. Why It's Good When Doctors Were Wrong." Did you know brain injuries are a leading cause of death and disability world wide?

June is Brain Injury Awareness Month in Canada and I had the honour and privilege to be interviewed on Stephan Neff's Youtube channel and podcast to share some of my story.

Take a listen, give it a thumbs up, leave a comment, and subscribe if it resonates!

And maybe share it with someone impacted by brain injury. It might be the difference that makes the difference.

I deeply appreciate your continued support and love.

Clarity

I knew one thing, even amongst all the brain fog, forgetfulness, headaches, memory loss, frustration and brain injury challenges.
I had clarity about one thing.
That is: I wanted to love and embrace myself in the new ways I was showing up living with a brain injury.
It was a hard journey getting there...and some days are still bumpy.
But I found a way.
To love and embrace the new me that I am.
Neurofeedback and brain training have been a big part of my journey in helping me land in a healthy place mentally, emotionally, physically, spiritually and energetically.
What are some things that help you get through the tough moments?

Sometimes life is messy - the magic lies in learning how to sit in the messiness or the messy-nest
Living with a brain injury has challenged me and invited me to be deeply OK with who I am and where I'm at.
This walk has been treacherous at times, jovial at times, comforting at times, whimsical at times, serendipitous at times and everything in between.

Brain injuries are messy.

Life is messy.

Learning can be messy.

The cool thing about messy is there is no perfect in the imperfection, there is no right and there is no wrong.
Messy is a powerful invitation for us to sit in the paradox of what we think we want and what is.
It’s an invitation to to know and trust all is well and all will be ok no matter what happens and what is.
Brain training has helped me learn to sit in the messy and be be ok with who I am and where I’m at.
Trust the moments.
Be gentle on yourself.
Big love xx
