Supporting and celebrating women’s rights is a year-round responsibility. But on International Women’s Day (IWD), which is on March 8, 2021 this year, it’s even more important to take a stand for women’s equality.

If you’re not familiar with it, International Women’s Day began in the early 1900s and is “a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. The day also marks a call to action for accelerating women’s equality,” according to the official IWD website.

This past week Triple J Contracting successfully completed the removal of 40 KM’s of snow from HWY 7 roadways. The contract was separated into two districts on the east and west side of Yonge Street.

It was a massive undertaking of nearly 60 workers that was initiated within an 8 hours of being called out.
