The Banff Physical Therapy team is please to welcome our new massage therapist Gabe Regier to our team!
Gabe is a graduate of the West Coast College of Massage Therapy in Victoria, BC with a focus on trigger point therapy, deep tissue massage, PNF stretching, and joint mobilizations. Gabe grew up in Winnipeg, playing hockey in the winter and soccer in the summers. In his early teens he developed a love for skateboarding and snowboarding, which led him to spending 11 years living in Banff National Park. As a teenager Gabe suffered a severe broken leg which required two surgeries and was introduced to physical therapy and the benefit of massage therapy in his recovery. He would continue to use it as a tool to maintain a functional, strong body. Gabe also developed a love for strength training and found it to be extremely beneficial and rewarding. In 2011 he obtained his personal training certification to better his knowledge, then he dedicated 10 years to strength training and powerlifting. He continued to use manual therapy to help repair the bumps and bruises along the way. During his assessments and treatments, Gabe integrates his extensive background in resistance training to determine movement restrictions, and to promote optimal musculoskeletal function. I Gabe enjoys spending his free time snowboarding, mountain biking, and in the gym.

We would like to congratulate Jazz on her 20 years as a physiotherapist and 18 years at Banff Physical Therapy!
Jazz services a mixed caseload of patients needing treatments for spinal conditions, work injuries and sport related injuries. She has advanced training in manual therapy, acupuncture and IMS certifications (dry needling). She believes in hands on treatment and uses mobilizations, manipulations, dry needling and soft tissue techniques to help achieve the patient’s goals. She also like to empower patients with self-treatment skills; including education and appropriate home exercise program.

Another Banff Physical Therapy kid is graduating! Huge congratulations from all of us Kiana. Shari and Kevin can be proud of their girl, well accomplished all around. She has a bright future ahead of her. She will be leaving the Bow Valley in August to start University in Tennesse on a Rowing scholarship! Congrats to all other Bow Valley kids graduating as well!

Congrats to our physio Jazz for her 1st place in the 25km women category! Awesome to see mountain bike races running after this long Covid break. Thanks for a great event!

Congrats to all the Banff Marathon finishers and congrats to our running physio Charlie Clarry who won the marathon distance in a speedy time of 2:48:35! Congratulations as well to our general manager who ran the half marathon, nice work Larissa!

Part time receptionist for a Physiotherapy and Massage Therapy Clinic

We are a busy clinic with great staff and clientele.

Receptionist required for 2 shifts per week. Hours include Friday early afternoon-evening and Saturday morning-early afternoon.

Tasks will include:
-scheduling and assisting with patient intake
-general office duties (scanning, faxing etc.)
-insurance invoicing and reconciliation
-light cleaning and organizing

Experience is ideal but not required, as training will be provided. The right candidate will have excellent communication and people skills as well as confidence with computers.

We want to welcome our student Jake who will be learning the ropes from Tom Wong in the next few weeks. Sharing our knowledge with the next generation of physios is part of our values. Enjoy your time in Banff Jake!

A great weekend of racing at the Grizzly Ultra for some our Banff Physical Therapy staff! Our running physio did amazing in the Grizzly Ultra solo with an impressive second place in his category and second place in the team of 2 on the Saturday! Our busy clinic has 4 physiotherapists working in team with our massage therapists. The candidates will have to administer therapeutic massage treatments including myofascial soft tissue manipulation, sport massage, relaxation techniques, stretching techniques, trigger point therapy and drainage techniques. Our private massage room offers an ergonomic work environment with a hydraulic massage table.
