This is a nice picture from a 2 truck load layover move we did in North Bay last week. We have amazing clients and an amazing team of movers 😁❤️🙏.

We managed two beat the estimate on both days and remain flexible with the offload time.

That's a great feeling.

We had a new experience, a client called us and said he was having a problem with his partner.

When we arrived this meant there was a cop onsite supervising the partners while we did the move. She was really nice and it all worked out without any incidents. Now just another cool story for all of us here at Movers and Shakers. 😎

One of the coolest things about being a mover is discovering all the different moving solutions people need.

Like this family for example. They needed these crates brought to the dump and this piano too. Sometimes we bring things to the dump and it hurts to dispose of them, but we are here at the discretion of you, our clients. So we are happy to dispose of things we can't find a better place for.

The moving industry is filled with alternative moving needs and solutions. Like sometimes you order an entire garage worth of renovations from overseas and you want them taken off skids and brought to the basement so you can get your garage back.

We are staying busy at Moversandshakers.ca in this our fourth year. As summer begins to wind down on the last of the long weekends we are excited for the quickly aproaching September weather❤️

September/October are of our favorite months to take care of moves. The days are a wee bit cooler and the scenery as we cruise into October turns gorgeous. It really makes for beautiful trips on our long distance moves, especially when we head

The scenery alone can be worth the trip.

We did a small load from a 4th-time repeat client last week :), Blue Mountain to Vaughn, and then downtown Toronto.

Our favorite part outside of seeing our client and friend for the 4th time he's used us to move, was we got this entire load, minus one couch we brought to Vaughn, up an elevator in 2 trips.

We take great pride in our work, so yes we are trying to impress our clients, but we are also always working to improve ourselves too.

A few weeks ago we had the great pleasure of moving a beautiful couple into one of Barrie's best retirement communities -The Waterford

In our 4 years in businness we have had the true privilege to take care of many a move for the Waterford and their sister company the Barrieview. Both are amazing communities that have spared no expense or length of imagination in creating beautiful luxurious homes for our elderly to enjoy their retirement in grace, style and comfort.

We would like to give a big heart felt high five to the two amazing sisters that worked so closely with us in and effort to create a smooth transition from their parents family home into their new home and community at the Waterford. From start to finish these two super cool ladies took care of every detail so their
❤️Mom and Dad❤️ would be comfortable and confident in their decision to move. We see this can be a huge and senstive decision for folks to make and we approach every single one of these moves with love, care and understanding to ensure a beautiful stress free move. Working for our elderly has become one of the greatest and most fulfilling parts of our business.

**Little bit on Mom and Dad**

An artist and a hero

Mom is a beautiful artist. Everything from stunning paintings to tickling the ivories of a baby grand piano, she has talents abound. Even before the lovely couple decided to move to the Waterford Mom would visit the Waterford to play for the residence as the Waterford has a beautiful lounge with a baby grand piano to relax and enjoy music whenever the mood strikes.

Dad is one of our great war vets/engineer that had the courage to fly bomber planes for the RAF in the Korean War. Then retired as an engineer.

We are happy to say the move went perfect Mom and Dad are happy in their new home and life beautifully goes on ❤️

Do you know about the Hire a Mover program?

In Barrie and North Bay we have a lot of DIY families, and we love to see it. It's fantastic when people are able to take care of themselves. To help people with this, we can contractor our guys out on a 4-hour minimum. Which is great if you need a little support.

On this particular job, the clients saved money moving in their trailer and with a couple of Cubits. But as they needed to get their new life started at their new home, they brought us in to help with taking the bulk of it into their new home for them.

Please enjoy pictures of this load going from Barrie to Kingston last month. We particularly enjoyed this tiny little treadmill, and we had great joy working with a fantastic mother and daughter.

When we arrived the retired mother was a bit nervous, but with a few hugs and some quick work, she felt a lot better. For us this really makes us happy, to help take a client's stress or anxiety away.

We met the daughter in Kingston for the offload and they had a lovely well-cared-for home in the country to enjoy. Another move, another happy ending. 😁❤

A few things to mention with this post.

For one we are headed to Nova Scotia next week 😁 & we get the truck tomorrow. It's not in use Saturday June 15 if anyone needs anything, the truck will be discounted for anyone who needs a move ☺️. We are happy to help people save money any chance we get.

#2 We have been super busy, so thank you for everyone sharing our brand, so many jobs have come in this week from referrals, so thank you so very much everyone.

And lastly check out these 2 exceptional movers who were packing for a fellow movers families last week. The client's were very happy they took their son's advice and went with us.

So much so I got this message as part of the many forms of praise we recieved for our work.

This may look a little chaotic, but in the 1.5 hour from North Bay to the countryside of Huntsville, nothing moved and nothing was damaged. This was last Monday and it rained cats and dogs. No water damage either.

The clients were most impressed and they were a great joy to work along side too.

We also want to mention with the client's help and some motivation from the rain and bugs, we finished this load in 2.5 hours under our estimate. Thank you everybody.

We have been keeping busy helping people move in the Barrie and North Bay area.

This trailer load was done last week in North Bay, and was headed to Peterborough. We completed the work in under the estimated time and the trailer owner showed us how he was taught to use pool noodles to help protect the contents of his move in transit.

All arrived safely at the other end and we even helped repair some older furniture that had some screws loose, while we moved them. 💪😁
