DROWNING

She was slowly drowning
With no way to escape
The water was surrounding
And she was about to break

Cast out to the sea
In her self-made prison
She longed to be free
But, she lost her vision

Encased, in her mind
With panic overwhelming
She longed to find
Freedom from her dwelling

Every time she tried
To take a little breath
Her hateful thoughts would lie
Until, nothing was left

Can someone break the glass
and set this woman free?
Escaping pain from her past
So, she can finally see

Know that she is worth it
And realize she can swim
Her fight is not over yet
Her light, no longer dim

Been painting alot the last few days, it's been a good reminder of how much painting is a tool for me... A tool to get out the emotions, to feel what I need to feel through expression and let it go... Transmuting that energy into a work of art ❤️

GROUND YOUR ROOTS - just as a tree is deeply rooted into Mother Earth, we too must feel deeply rooted into our being, the essence of who we are. To be centered within yourself physically, mentally and emotionally, so you can be in harmony with the present moment and your own energy field. It is the process of turning inward so that you can see outward. To trust and believe in the unknown so that you will be inspired to keep growing, as you are so deeply rooted, that nothing can shake your sense of self.

Was playing around with mixing colours and wanted to try a different styled background for my moon phases. This one has only 3 phases first quarter, full moon, and third quarter. Size is 24 " by 9".
