Days for Girls empowers women and girls worldwide with more dignity, health and safety through access to quality sustainable menstrual health management and education.
Days for Girls International Days for Girls advances menstrual equity, health, dignity and opportunity for all. We transform periods into pathways.
Humanitarian aid that prioritizes people with periods has long been a pillar of our work at Days for Girls.
When disaster strikes, emergency responses often under-fund or exclude menstrual health care – leaving displaced women and girls unable to meet basic needs.
We are committed to closing this gap on a global scale by providing vital period products and education to menstruating refugees and internally displaced people.
Thanks to your generous support, our volunteers have, so far in 2022, produced, donated and shipped 44,125 DfG Kits and provided Menstrual Health Education for humanitarian relief across the globe, including:
- 3,000 additional DfG Kits were sent to Jordan to continue our ongoing partnership with the https://hubs.la/Q01kr4LR0
- 3,600 DfG Kits were donated to , an organization that serves displaced children seeking asylum on the US-Mexico border
- 11,145 Hybrid DfG Kits (a customized Kit that includes both washable and disposable products) and four pallets of disposable products was donated to displaced people affected by the conflict in Ukraine through our partners at Global Empowerment Mission and Direct Relief
- 21,001 DfG Kits and MH Education are now being distributed to refugees in Chad in partnership with Watoto Read and Jesuit Refugee Service/USA
- Chapters and Teams in Australia and New Zealand reached 5,291 people with DfG Kits and MH Education following the Volcano eruption and tsunami in Tonga

Did you know that prisons in the Dominican Republic are not equipped with free period products? Since many inmates do not have economic resources to manage their menstruation, some turn to pieces of clothing or bedding to try to contain their bleeding.
In recognition of this menstrual health need, Proinfancia, a thriving Days for Girls’ Enterprise in the Dominican Republic, recently provided kits and menstrual health education to inmates in the Najayo Women’s Prison.
Following the visit, prison authorities asked Proinfancia to come back soon. Proinfancia was also put in contact with the country’s Attorney General's Office, and they are in the process of signing an agreement to supply all women's prisons in the Dominican Republic with Days for Girls kits.
Days for Girls International is proud of Proinfancia for its enterprise and advocacy efforts to bring sustainable solutions to this very real problem!

💛Today we are highlighting Jada Malott - read about Jada’s incredible menstrual advocacy journey below! 💛
3 years ago, Jada had started fundraising for Tampon Tuesday, a period product fundraiser, within her high school in Windsor, Ontario. In their inaugural year, they had collected over 500 boxes of product which totally blew their expectations away. Through the years, schools continued to request to join the challenge. This year, her last year in high school, was her biggest yet. With 18 secondary schools participating from all three school boards in Windsor essex, Jada collected over 2,800 boxes of menstrual products for her community.
Jada is a Student Trustee at the Windsor-Essex Catholic District School Board and also passed a motion to move that the school board provide these products at no cost to students in all of their schools. Before the provincial announcement regarding the ensured provision of these products in all Ontario schools, Windsor was one of the first Catholic School Boards to address period poverty in this regard!
Jada and her father also brought their initiative to city council, with the motion passing unanimously that Windsor provide these products in all city locations, starting with a 1-year pilot program. Jada’s father has been her rock throughout her activism for menstrual equity. She is completely inspired by him and his passion for social justice.
Jada is launching a non-profit program very soon to help further her cause of ending period poverty in Windsor-Essex county, that she will shortly be able to share more about!
Thank you for MAYstruating Jada!
