Gotta love women~
A fifty-ish woman was at home happily jumping on her bed and squealing with delight.
Her husband watches her for a while and asks, "Do you have any idea how ridiculous you look? What's the matter with you?"
The woman continues to bounce on the bed and says, "I don't care, I just came from having a mammogram and the doctor says I have the breasts of an 18 year-old."
The husband said, "What did he say about your 56 year old ass?"
"Your name never came up," she replied.
(Men . . . We just never know when to shut up, do we?)
When it comes to your first massage, you need to know these three things!
Your therapist will…
1️⃣ Discuss your health history, assessment, and treatment plan.
2️⃣ Explain what to wear and how to lay on the massage table.
3️⃣ Tell you to relax and enjoy! Always speak up if you don’t like the pressure or have any questions.

35th Anniversary Throwback ⏪
Who remembers when we were called AMTWP? Let's take a walk down memory lane...
The In Touch Massage Club was incorporated on September 30, 1988. While the organization had fewer than 100 members, it was still influential in advocating for massage therapists in Edmonton and surrounding areas.
As we grew as an association, we changed our name to the Association of Massage Therapists and Wholistic Practitioners (AMTWP) in 1992.
And on August 15, 2007, we became the Natural Health Practitioners of Canada Association (NHPCA)/Association des Praticiens de la Sante Naturelle du Canada (APSNC). The updated brand conveyed a more professional national image and enhanced the credibility of all modalities.
The holiday season is packed with parties to attend, cooking to be done, and house decorating. This all has an effect on your feet, and you may not be wearing the best footwear.
To release some of this stress, take a tennis ball and roll your feet over it to massage aching soles.
Sit down and step on the ball with a bare or socked foot and roll back and forth from heel to toe with a pressure that you are comfortable with. Work out tender and painful knots by rolling in small circles.
Feeling all stuffed up? As the weather cools and cold and flu season is afoot, try the Yintang point (or "third eye") to relieve stuffed sinuses and headache pain.
Using your finger, apply pressure to the point between your eyebrows, or gently massage in a circular motion for a few minutes.
Are there any other acupressure points that you like to use when you're feeling unwell?
You're "kneaded" on my massage table. Reminder to book in with your NHPC practitioner to beat the stress of the holiday season! 🧡

Back pain...
As we’ve evolved as a species, a number of new physical ailments have arisen as an unintended result of our lifestyle upgrades.
But there's nothing new about back pain. This chronic problem will affect 85% of human beings in their lifetime and has been around for millenia. How do we know?
Because there are a number of effective remedies for it that date back to ancient times. Although, the cause of back pain in the old world probably had nothing to do with sitting at a desk, hunched over a computer all day…
Did you know that back pain is one of the most common reasons for missed work? In fact, it is the second most common reason for visits to the doctor’s office (next to upper-respiratory infections).
The good news is that in most cases, this pain is caused by stress which can be treated .Come see me at ..........
