Well... HRM Mayoral Candidate Pam Lovelace apparently thinks that small businesses, healthcare, housing and immigration have nothing to do with the mayor's office.

While refusing to answer my very few yet important basic questions, she told me to contact the provincial and federal govts when I asked her position on what she would do as Mayor to help with:

- healthcare waits at our HRM hospitals,
- poor roads throughout HRM, housing prices in HRM,
- the adverse impact on student-teacher time in HRM classrooms due to the time it takes for translators to communicate back and forth, and
- the hyper-influx of immigration to HRM that are making the aforementioned issues even worse for HRM residents.

Just another unqualified wanna-be politician that likes to pass the buck on to the province and the feds! Shame on you!

All levels of govt have a responsibility for their constituents!

Perhaps candidates for any political office should be required to make their CVs publicly available.

Well its another fall season upon us. The leaves are going to start turning colour and the weather is getting cooler.

- Balaclava: A balaclava is a form of cloth headgear designed to expose only part of the face, usually the eyes and mouth. Depending on style and how it is worn, only the eyes, mouth and nose, or just the front of the face are unprotected. (see pic)

- Leather Chaps: A good option for cold weather, as they provide good insulation and are wind-resistant.

We have closed our patio and are selling the furniture and effects.

Due to the unexpected construction of the 48-unit sea-container housing project behind Route 66 North at Esquire Plaza, we will be canceling the Wednesday Bike Night BBQs for the rest of this season.

We may start up in the Spring with the Bike Nights in front of the store, like we did when we first open. We will keep you updated.

All furniture and effects on the patio are for sale. The shed, chairs and patio umbrellas (with solar lighting) were purchased new in July. If you're interested, please drop in and chat with Vince.

A huge congratulations to Eric V., winner of the Chase the Ace draw yesterday. Eric won $735.00 and donate $100.00 back to the Kids' "Back to School Supply Drive". Thank you Eric.

In addition to the donations we received, Route 66 North and the Route 66 Easy Riders Riding Club were able to raise and purchase almost $2000 in school supplies for students of all ages. Fantastic!

We will keep the Chase the Ace going this year and next until the 2025 Kids' Back to School Drive! Next years' donation will be much higher!!!
