Ecowater Nova Scotia Ltd., a provider of Residential and Commercial Water Treatment

We are currently seeking a full-time Field Service Technician/Installer. The Field Service Technician will perform all service work, installations, maintenance repairs, and preventative maintenance on a variety of equipment. They will service customers by operating a company vehicle.

Essential Functions

• Responsible for troubleshooting product for required repairs
• Routinely change water filters, clean and sanitize water tanks, change UV bulbs
• Visually inspect for leaks and malfunctions
• Perform service and other job-related duties as assigned
• Responsible for following company and customer safety policies and procedures
• Technician will have strong technical and mechanical aptitude
• Technician will have familiarity with basic tools and maintain ability to transport both equipment and tools to customer sites
• Regular and reliable attendance

Requirements

• Must have a minimum of 2-3 Years experience servicing and installing water treatment systems, both residential and commercial. Willing to train the right candidate if they have plumbing experience.
• Must have a strong mechanical background
• Must provide references specific to the service and installation of both residential and commercial water treatment.
• You will be required to perform an aptitude test, both written and manual.
• Must have superior customer service skills and neat in appearance
• Must be able to work well with others
• Technical school degree an asset
• Must have own tools
• Ability to work in a fast pace environment where quantity and quality go hand in hand
• Monday – Friday, however, must be flexible and able to occasionally travel (overnight). Accommodations provided by employer.
• Physical requirements include ability to bend, squat, walk with heavy equipment, climb ladders, and lift 70 pounds
• Valid driver’s license (clear driver’s abstract and criminal record check upon job offer)

Salary: $22.00 to $26.00/hour

I highly recommend Ecowater for anything to do with water treatment. They are true professionals with the best equipment and the best service and they are nothing but a pleasure to deal with. Gary installed our original whole-house water treatment system 14 years ago and it worked exactly as designed, as confirmed by regular hospital water tests. Recently, we experienced a change in our source water that dramatically increased its iron levels to beyond the capacity of our original installation. Gary, Rick, Kyle, and Cody went above and beyond to diagnose the issue and then designed changes to the treatment plan that reused our existing equipment, thus saving us money, while adding a new high-capacity, no-salt, low-maintenance iron removal system. Ecowater demonstrated their expertise and experience as they took the time to fully understand our issue and offered superior support and helpful advice in person and via phone and email. When they left, the whole problem was solved, including replacement of the old iron-clogged lines, leaving us with softer, clean, clear water at high pressure, just like the day we moved in.
