Spec Check: William Nylander🍁

Nylander has hopped into the all new Sherwood Encrypt Pro this year scoring 10 points in 10 games so far with arguably the best looking stick of 2024.

Nylander’s specs could be yours this week as all sticks with this curve are $20 off right now. This curve is very similar to a Bauer P14 max blade curve, featuring a nice toe hook but a fairly mid heel and a deep pocket. This curve is also very straight on the bottom creating a lot of contact with the ice. The deep pocket and lack of rocker make this curve great for stickhandling or cradling and protecting the puck as you move around the ice, but also gives you a nice toe hook for sniping.

If you like a P28 curve consider trying this for the benefits of a flat bottom and a different blade shape.

Pretty sick spec check this week featuring Tim Stutzle and an absolute wild curve.

This one is extra cool cause we’re seeing Dzingels curve on Stutzle’s stick where they played one year together during Stutzle’s rookie year. With the stick being an Ag5nt which came out in 2022, Stutzle’s kept using this curve when the two were no longer teammates.

Sutzle is actually seen using CCM this year but remains with his Bauer gloves and skates..making us wonder if he’s in the verge of switching.

The blade is stamped with Dzingel’s name as well, solidifying the fact that it’s his curve.

Spec Check: Jordan Eberle

Your second ever captain of the Seattle Kraken, Jordan Eberle gets a feature in this weeks spec check. With 4 points in the first 4 games we'd say he's doing alright so far.

We got this sweet Bauer G3 a while back and for those who know, this stick is a beauty. Although Eberle's name is attached to the Bauer P89 retail curve that is indeed not what he uses. This stick features the very mild PM9 curve and a well rounded 87 flex for the veteran. It is very common for stick companies to tie a name to their retail curve despite that player actually using something else.

Eberle is a great choice to captain an NHL team and hopefully the Kraken can continue to grow with him as their leader. Have you ever used a Bauer G3?

These specs couldn't be more classic...70 flex in the NHL seems pretty crazy but we're all getting used to these crazy low flexes. Mix that with the tried and true P28, we've got the specs of every young superstar.

Celebrini hasn't changed his specs at all really since we started getting his stuff from Team Canada and BU a few years ago. How long does he go in the NHL before he gets convinced to try maybe a P86, maybe something custom, he's gotta grow into an 80 flex soon, no?
