It’s Open House today at Loyalist College. Our team is all set up in the production studio and they are eager to discuss our Film & TV programs and to demonstrate some of our gear! Come check it out until 12PM.

Ben spotted a Loyalist Film & TV grad and a soon to be Advanced Film grad tonight at the Belleville Senators game. Graduate Kim Pothier works on the Sens camera crew but tonight she was honoured before the game for her amazing speed skating achievements earlier this year at the Special Olympics in Calgary. She is pictured with Dheeraj Rathour who is also a member of The Sens game day team and will be graduating this June.

We always love visits from our grads! Yesterday, 2018 graduate Simon Sheehan surprised us on campus and brought the CP24 satellite truck with him. Some lucky learners got a chance to check out the truck and some cool gear. This morning, Simon was up bright and early for a live hit showcasing the Princess Margaret Lottery show home nearby in Consecon! Nothing like live TV!

Ben and Chris paid a visit to the Durham Region Film & TV Career Fair this week. Not surprisingly, we ran into some Loyalist Film & TV grads. Trevor from the class of 2010 and Nick and Aidan from the class of 2023!

A wonderful evening screening content from our 2nd Year students. Thank you to Belleville Downtown DocFest - International Documentary Film Festival for this opportunity and to Aaron & Angela Bell from Lot 48 Film Company and Roz Mugford from Double Barrel Studios for offering such meaningful feedback to our learners.

It’s January and the students have been putting in their best efforts to make their projects shine.

With Prof. Chris’ supervision, all of them look to take their projects towards a fine final product as the final semester gets intense.

Filming day for our Year 2 TFDS students with the for a new series Chef School: The Market. The Culinary students are pitching ideas for new dishes to bring to the Loyalist Market in April.

Paul, Ben, Eric and our 2nd Year Film & TV students are having a great day covering the Bay of Quinte high school football championships in Belleville. Wonderful to partner with , and to bring our broadcast together.

Our 2nd Year students paid a visit to the Yourtv Quinte broadcast of the game this weekend at Loyalist College. They observed the complete production set-up along with Mr. Doyle’s Eastside Secondary School students in preparation of their own sports remote event production later this semester.
