Physiotherapy is a proven method to improve posture. Physiotherapists use hands-on treatments, targeted stretches, and specific exercises to correct poor posture and rebalance your body. 1️⃣ Chest Opener Stretch
👉 Stand tall with your feet shoulder-width apart. Clasp your hands behind your back.
👉 Gently lift your hands and open your chest, squeezing your shoulder blades together. Hold for 20-30 seconds and repeat 2-3 times.
2️⃣ Cat-Cow Stretch
👉 Begin on your hands and knees in a tabletop position. Inhale, arch your back, and lift your head and tailbone towards the ceiling (Cow Pose).
👉 Exhale, round your spine and tuck your chin to your chest (Cat Pose). Repeat 10-15 times, flowing smoothly between the two positions.
3️⃣ Thoracic Spine Stretch
👉 Sit or stand with your back straight. Cross your arms over your chest, placing your hands on opposite shoulders.
👉 Rotate your upper body to the right, keeping your lower body stable. Hold for 15-20 seconds, then rotate to the left and hold. Repeat 3-4 times on each side.
4️⃣ Child’s Pose
👉 Kneel on the floor, sitting back on your heels. Extend your arms forward and lower your forehead to the ground.
👉 Relax your back and shoulders, holding the stretch for 30-60 seconds. Repeat 2-3 times.
5️⃣ Shoulder Blade Squeeze
👉 Sit or stand with your back straight. Squeeze your shoulder blades together, as if you’re trying to hold a pencil between them.
👉 Hold for 5-10 seconds and release. Repeat 10-15 times.
