The Hoka Hey Motorcycle Challenge tracker is live! Here’s where you can follow along watching all the riders for this year‘s Hoka Hey. Warning…it’s highly addictive.
Right now, you can see the riders making their way to South Dakota. I am showing as near Levis, Quebec (from last summer). My tracker will update sometime tomorrow or Friday. The official start is Sunday at 6am.
Green circle means we are moving, red circle means we are stopped, yellow circle means the engine is on but we aren’t moving.
Enjoy!
My 'bio' on the Hoka Hey Challenge FB page. You can check out the other rider bios there too.
Meet The New Rider # 1055 Kevin Baker The Hoka Hey Motorcycle Challenge: a long distance ride which tests riders’ abilities to navigate & endure some of the most technical roads in NA.
One week from today I will be en route to Rapid City, South Dakota to stage for the 2022 Hoka Hey Challenge. By far, the most epic ride I have participated in thus far.
The Inheritance is packed and ready to go. We leave at 04:00 on June 23. We will have a brief stop at http://indianmotorcyclesturgis.com at 08:00 on June 24. They will do a complete pre-trip inspection of the Inheritance, install new rubber, and change the oil.
Stay tuned for more updates.
Playing around with a two-sided logo for things like challenge coins and poker chips. What do you think?

Slowly assembling the Hoka Hey accoutrements for the Inheritance. While the Hoka Hey branding is exciting, there are a number of other very functional "add-ons" that will make these endurance runs more manageable. This includes the addition of things like a hydration system (for me - not the bike) and some electrical work to accommodate the external speakers (I'm sick of ear buds), the US Fleet (satellite) tracker, the Denali LEDs, and so on. I will do a video walk-through preview once everything is done in a couple of weeks.
Another cool podcast. This time with IBA Mile Eater and Hoka Hey Rider # 863 Kenneth Andrews - Go Home Ken. Great interview!
Thrilled to be accepted into the KLIM VIP and Sponsorship Program. Looking forward to the serving as a KLIM brand ambassador and rocking my Badlands Pro jacket and pants!
The 2022 start is on June 26 in the Black Hills of South Dakota!
I’ve been chosen to compete in the 2022 Hoka Hey Motorcycle Challenge. There are only a few Canadian riders in the Challenge and I am the only one from the GTA. The Hoka Hey Motorcycle Challenge is a 10,000 mile in 10 days ride with a twist. The ride is entirely off of the interstates. There are no GPS or cell phones permitted . Riders are given turn-by-turn directions to the next check-point (which is roughly 2000 miles away) and riders have basically no idea where the route will take them. There are no motels or hotels permitted and riders must sleep by their bikes.
I’m looking for sponsors and donations for a fundraising raffle (100% of the raffle proceeds will go to charity). If you are interested in helping out or if you know of or work at a company or business that might be willing to help out, please let me know who I should contact and I’ll follow up with an email.
Sincere thanks!
