On November 19, Law in Motion will be attending the Santa 4 Seniors fundraising event in Port Hope.
We will have a table set up with other vendors and small businesses, you can even meet and greet with the lawyer, Melanie Williams!
Santa 4 Seniors is fundraising to donate to a retirement home - Regency Manor. To donate you can sponsor a senior for $20, or donation items to provide gifts to the seniors for Christmas.

Law in Motion has now officially opened our THIRD OFFICE!!
Starting March 22, 2021 our doors will be open at our new Havelock office located at 10 Oak Street.
Meetings are still however, by APPOINTMENT ONLY.
Our three locations are; Bowmanville, Marmora & Havelock. Appointments will be booked at the closest office to you.

It's that time again...Law in Motion's 3rd annual EASTER COLORING CONTEST!
There are three age groups, one entry per child:
3-6 years of age
7-10 years of age, and
11-14 years of age
To enter, you must reside in Ontario and be in one of the above age groups. Please print the Easter picture and color to your heart's content! The judges will be looking for the best coloring and egg creation!

Melanie Williams, JD
Melanie has over 10 years of experience, working and learning in the legal environment. Prior to attending law school, she worked as a law clerk in a prominent Toronto Law Firm and gained considerable experience working with counsel and fellow law clerks. In 2010, she attended Osgoode Hall Law School and was called to the Ontario Bar. Upon graduating from law school, Melanie articled and worked for a top law firm within Durham Region wherein she was able to cultivate her knowledge and connect with clients and fellow lawyers.
In diverse roles within the legal community, Melanie has watched the evolution of the law in general; however, she has witnessed that the way in which legal services are provided to clients has not experienced the same levels of evolution. Melanie firmly believes that legal services should not only be efficient but also, accessible, convenient and transparent. As a result of this belief, the concept of Law in Motion was created as a means to bring the delivery of legal services into the 21st century.
On a personal level, Melanie is a wife, a mother, a small town girl from Havelock, Ontario and an absolute disaster in the Kitchen. She has a love for traveling, spending time with family and friends and learning new things. When she is not practicing law, Melanie can be found on the side of a soccer field or baseball diamond cheering on her two boys.
Throughout her experiences both personal and professional, Melanie has learned how to multi-task, meet deadlines and come up with creative and innovative solutions that meet the client’s ultimate needs.
