October is such a fun month! With the beginning of fall, Thanksgiving, and Halloween... The learning opportunities are endless

Here are a few of our favourite Halloween themed activities - from fine motor practice as we pick up and create with little pieces, to discovering pumpkins!

We finished off the month dressed up in our costumes and danced the day away in our annual glow in the dark Halloween dance party!

What? It's October?!
Looking forward to a lot of fun activities planned for this month.. but first a recap of Sept!

Our interest was animals - tigers, giraffes, lions, zebras, etc.
Some of our favorite activities were using tweezers to match pompom colours, matching letters, cutting zebra stripes, zebra sensory bin, gluing a jungle collage, and making a tiger!

Oh no!! What happened to all the animals?!
I hope my littles can rescue all the animals with their amazing fine motor skills!!

We had 2 kiddos graduate preschool and went off to kindergarten!! We had so much fun celebrating them and reminiscing the fun we've had at "Busy Bee School"

The kiddos looked so forward to seeing the animals and enjoyed every second!

It was all about beach and ocean for August!!

I always have something on the go - and it's usually kid-oriented!
Today I'll be at Carrot Fest with fun sensory activities to do at home with the kiddos!

I'm so behind in posting!
In July we learned through play with dinosaurs!!!!
We read books, built dinosaur houses, rescued dinosaurs from ice, practiced our numbers, letters, and so much more.
We had a roaring good time!

Teddy Bear Picnic Day is always a hit over here!
We bring our favourite stuffie to school, make our own picnic lunch, and engage in fun activities!

A quick post with some fun June activities!
We were learning a lot about gardening, vegetables, and flowers.
We planted our own veggies, made pretend gardens in sensory play, celebrated national sunglasses day, searched for letters in sand, explored seeds, played sink or float, and did a science experiment with celery!

May was all about bugs!

Here are some of our favourite activities - making bugs with loose parts and playdough, ice melt, finding letters, digging in dirt, and so much more!!

April was all about cars and trucks!
We loved building and creating with the cones too!

Happy Easter from our hive to yours!

We were so busy hopping from activity to activity with fun Easter activities.

One of our favourites was Easter Egg sink or float! We guessed and discovered if items would float or sink - then filled Easter Eggs to see what would happen.

We also glued pasta on an Easter egg canvas and painted them to make a beautiful Easter decoration.

We practiced our fine motor and literacy skills as we opened Easter eggs and matched letters.

Gross motor and cognitive skills were practiced as we counted and jumped on bunny feet! Hop hop hop!
