Good morning
We would like to start the community meal again but we are running into some road blocks.

Does anybody know of a certified kitchen in bradford that would be willing to let us use it to make the meal.

Or if there is a restaurant willing to make us some meals to distribute to residents of bradford.

It is that time of year Fall and time to shut down the community garden once again.

The Community Initiative would like to thank everyone who participated in the gardens this year.

Wishing everyone a great winter season and looking forward to spring 2023 for the start of another great community garden.

Once again it is that time of year for the community gardens and I am happy to say that all the plots have been taken. We do have a waiting list but if you are interested please contact Gwen at 905-775-7792 for further details.

Community Gardens

The community gardens was a great success again this year. All the plots were rented out and we had 2 new non-profit.

Looking forward to 2022 with the gardens.

Hope everyone is staying healthy.
We are ramping up to start the community meals again. We are looking for volunteers if anyone is interested in helping.
The meals will not be a seat down dinner like in the past because of CoVid we will be doing a take out service instead.
Looking forward to starting up again in the near future.

Are you suffering from COVID grief? Help is available.

Greetings, as the Community Initiatives shifts gears alongside all other groups we want you to know we are active in the background of a local group who are offering a drop in centre. We provide funding for them to purchase what they need for the centre. It is successful and seeing action every day it is open. It is safe and takes all precautions and is run by volunteers and a local group who are very passionate about our community.

Do you have suggestions for our cause to look at? We are meeting Feb 9 as a board to discuss next steps and would like to have some suggestions to take to the board.

The community gardens will be open again this year and plots may be available. Get in touch with us if you would like a plot so we can see how many want and how many are available.

Hi everyone hope you are all well.

Just an update with the community meal, Covid is still making it difficult but we are supporting the Out of Cold program.

Please take advantage of this great program.

We hope to be up and running again in early 2021.

Hi Everyone just wanted to give everyone an update with regards to the Community Meal.

The government has finally lifted the number to 10 people in a gathering, we hope that over the next few weeks this number increases.

We are currently looking at how we can reintroduce this meal that is offered on Fridays at the United Church.

The cooking teams all want to thank everyone for their patience and we have heard how much the meal is missed. We have missed cooking for you as well.
