Wanigan Basket Contents for Week of May 27th 2019 In a barbecue safe pan, place asparagus, sliced mushrooms and whole cherry tomatoes and drizzle with olive oil. Grill until tender and season with sea salt!

Wanigan Basket Contents for Week of April 15th 2019 In a medium sized soup pot, heat olive oil and add onions. Sauté until translucent and add garlic, celery, ginger, tumeric and carrots. Saute for 2 minutes stirring frequently and add spices and water. Bring to a boil and add apples, reduce to a low simmer until carrots are tender. Blend and enjoy!

A local source of organic vegetables for Wanigan is the McVean Farm in Brampton. Located only a few km from our warehouse, there are a number of different organic farmers working the land here. We're fortunate to be able to work with these farmers and grateful for their supply of beautiful veggies that go into our weekly Wanigan delivery baskets.
