This was an easy and new way to eat oats in the morning. Blend all the ingredients together and top with yogurt and berries. I omitted the chocolate chips. But they would be good too!! The nice thing is that it makes 2. I ate one and heated up the other one the next morning for breakfast…BONUS!! I popped it in the oven and jumped in the shower for an easy morning breakfast!

We have tried everything we could to hold on throughout this pandemic but it is no longer possible for us.
We understand that this brings great sadness and frustration as we are feeling these emotions ourselves. Our hearts also feel full and that fullness comes with gratitude to you all and the joy you have brought to our lives.
Heart and Hustle has meant so much to us all over the years.
HH is a dream realized.
HH provided the chance for you to see just how much YOU are capable of.
HH is a safe and brave space.
HH has changed lives.
HH is a community that thrives and supports ~ This is the part that does not have to go. We hope you embrace the connections you have made here and hold them tight. The connections are the most important part and they do not have to go anywhere. Reach out. Put in the time to maintain the friendships you have made here. It is our great hope that you do that. It will bring so much joy to you and us.
If the connection you found in the wall of Heart and Hustle was to yourself… Well, there is a gift we are so grateful you opened and one that will carry you for a lifetime. Our connection to self is priceless.
When we reflect on our time with you, we are so proud. Each time we walked in the gym and felt the energy in the space it was an instant lift, one we hope you felt as well. We are so blessed to have had a community so full of welcoming and uplifting spirit.
We are asking ourselves how is this happening ‘for’ us rather than ‘to’ us? This has opened the door for reflection which allows us to change the story. We aren’t all the way there yet but we are working on it.

Almonds are beneficial for heart health, and almond milk is rich in protein and calcium. They also contain lots of healthy fats, fiber, protein, magnesium and vitamin E. The health benefits of almonds include lower blood sugar levels, reduced blood pressure and lower cholesterol levels. They can also reduce hunger and promote weight loss.

Sounds like there were lots of Air Fryers under the tree in December or perhaps is was a boxing day deal. There are so many easy recipes to try but where do you begin? Here is an easy, healthy and delicious recipe to try!
Don’t be afraid to try and fail at a recipe. One thing I do when I try a new recipe is follow the recipe and instructions without modifications. That way I know if I like the recipe. If it was easy or if it was a complete fail I delete it from my recipe list. It has happened a few times but not often!!

We will send out recipes weekly and you choose a minimum of 3 a week to make. Send in a picture and a small review to the coach and get some bonus points! The idea is to find new recipes you may not have tried on your own, learn nutritious switch ups for comfort foods, and focus on non scale victories! Don't shy away from new foods! Little Ninjas CrossFit will help your child to understand how to properly move their body through life. Through the use of various exercises, and games, children learn good mechanics, consistency, and physical literacy which leads to fewer injuries in sport and life!

Thai Chicken Spiralized Zucchini Salad

Need a lighter option during this crazy food focused season!! This salad is a great way to lighten things up. Takes minutes to prepare and the colours are bright and inviting!! If you don’t have a spiralizer, try slicing the zucchini and carrots thin or use a veggie peel for thin ribbons. You could easily substitute tofu for the chicken.

As we approach the New Year, many of us may be reflecting on this past year. Regardless of what it brought, remember things CAN and WILL improve. While some things are out of our control, a lot of things are. It may take a little change in our routine or way of thinking. But all those small changes add up to making a significant impact. Rather than making a laundry list of all the things you hope to accomplish, try to focus on a few things that are important to you. Once you feel like those have been accomplished, you can always add more!

Here is a great option for an easy breakfast bake!! Over the holidays or on weekends this is an easy way to make a delicious meal out of eggs. Serve it with whole wheat toast or english muffins and some fruit and you have a delicious well balanced breakfast. Any veggies would be great in this egg casserole. The brighter the better as far as I’m concerned and some spicy cheese on top would kick it up a notch. Let me know your combinations!!

Determination and dedication are two factors responsible for getting us where we are today. We have spent most of our lives serving our community in one way or another: as an educator, as an emergency responder, as mentors and as community supporters. We’ve had the privilege of travelling abroad and those experiences and relationships along the way, have shaped who we are and what we stand for. And that is, Community. And the power that it provides us.
Our passion for health and fitness, meshed with our belief in the power of community led us to open Heart and Hustle Fitness. We want to provide a safe, diverse and inclusive space to grow a community of likeminded people. A space where we can all be challenged, be our best selves and build life long friendships.
