You have likely seen information about the *NEW* Advanced League for U10-U18 players and that tryouts (now called ‘evaluations’) are beginning next week. We have received many questions about competitive programming for U9 and below, and are pleased to extend the opportunity for our U7, U8 + U9s, to get on the ice and see what a development evaluation skate is like, in advance of Fall evaluations for our Minor Development (MD) Teams.
Prep skates are an important part of evaluations, are led by a certified development instructor and provide your child a valuable experience around what a tryout for this age group will be like, to prepare them for the Fall. Additionally, our MD Coaches + BHI leadership will be present in the stands and around the rink to answer any questions you may have about the program or to discuss options for your child.

What is the Minor Development (MD) program?
With representative hockey not beginning until U10, this is a competitive opportunity for our U7, U8 + U9 players to provide rep preparation. The program provides: development training, games against other nearby associations within the TriCounty League, and tournaments.
We look forward to seeing our young athletes on the ice, and continuing to provide more opportunities for their continued growth and development.
