Bread masala is the perfect fridge clean up meal. Simply fry up some onions, add in a few tablespoons of tomato paste, and toss in cubed bread slices and any veggies you have left in the fridge. You can season to your taste with salt, cumin & coriander powder and chaat masala. If you like it hot, add some green chili!
Cook the bread and veggies together for about 3-4 minutes and finish with chopped cilantro if you have some. The beauty of this dish is to use up whatever you have in your fridge and not let those last few pieces of bread go to waste!

Have you ever tried a green apple chutney? We love this fresh chutney from . Check out her recipe below:
Green Apple Chutney
Makes ½ to ¾ cup
2 green apples, cored and chopped into bite sized pieces
1 bunch cilantro, roughly chopped
1 large handful mint leaves
2 green chilies
3 garlic cloves
1 teaspoon cumin powder
1 teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon black pepper
2 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
Water as needed
Combine all ingredients in a blender, add a few tablespoons of water to help the mixture start to blend. Blend until smooth. Store for up to a week in the fridge.

Save your lemon and lime peels to make a non-toxic cleaning solution! 🍋🍋
The process is simple:
1. Take any mason jar and fill it 2/3 of the way with vinegar.
2. Add in lemon and lime peels.
3. Keep the jar closed for about 2 weeks. Your solution is ready when the color of the vinegar has yellowed, and the solution has a strong citrus odor.
4. Strain the peels out and dilute the solution with water. A 1:1 ratio of water works best.
5. Pour into a spray bottle and start cleaning!

Pickled red onions, or sirke vale pyaaz as they are called in Hindi, make the perfect accompaniment to South Asian meals. As a bonus, they are a great way to use up any extra red onions you might have in the pantry.
Here’s how:
Thinly slice one large red onion and place it in a pan with ½ cup white vinegar, ½ cup water, 1 ½ teaspoon kosher salt, 1 ½ tablespoons sugar and 2 cloves of roughly chopped garlic. Bring to a simmer.
Add in 4 teaspoons of whole spices: - mix of peppercorns, fennel, cumin, coriander. Simmer for 2 minutes stirring frequently. Remove from the stove and let cool. Place onions and liquid in a clean dry jar and store in the fridge for up to 2-3 weeks.

Very berry salad with a quick honey mint dressing! 🍓🥗
Summer isn’t over yet! How about soaking up the last of the season with this delicious berry salad. The perfect combination of greens, berries, and nutrient packed nuts. Simply toss together spinach and any berries you have on hand. We used strawberries, blueberries, and blackberries here.
For the dressing, whisk together honey, olive oil, lime juice, and a sprinkle of salt. Toss it together with your salad mix, top with sliced almonds, and you are good to go!
Don’t let the last of your strawberries go to waste, pickle them! Pickled strawberries are great on toast or in salads. You can even pair them with a sweet paratha.
Simply mix the following ingredients in a small jar:
1 ½ cups of strawberries ⅓ cup white vinegar
1 tbsp of sugar
Pinch of salt ½ tbsp whole coriander seeds
Fill the jar with water. Close, shake well and then place in the fridge for 12-24 hours. Use within 3 days to avoid the strawberries getting too mushy.
