Care Enough to Wear Pink We have set up a partnership with the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation and are selling our custom pink shirts to raise funds. • In 2010 the International Association of Fire Fighters (IAFF) passed a resolution to raise funds for women's cancers. • The Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation estimates that 25,000 women and 220 men in Canada will be diagnosed with breast cancer, and that 5,000 women and 60 men will die from the disease in 2017. • Breast Cancer is a complex disease that will affect 1 in 9 Canadian women during their lifetime. We are supporting the women and residents in our community. We have created a custom pink shirt (see attached) that were going to be selling at various events throughout the month with proceeds from these sales going to cancer awareness charities.
