Happy Mother's Day to all our Moms past, present and future. Mother's Day can be full of complex feelings especially for those experiencing loss.
Mother's Day is a time to honor and celebrate the incredible women who have touched our lives in ways both big and small. For those who are missing their mothers, the day can bring a mixture of emotions, from nostalgia and sadness to gratitude and love.
It's important to remember that it's okay to feel a range of emotions on Mother's Day, and to find comfort in the memories and the love that continues to live on.
Whether you are a mother yourself, have a mother figure in your life, an angel mom or are simply reflecting on the legacy of the strong women who came before you, this day serves as a poignant reminder of the profound impact of maternal love.
Let's take this opportunity to cherish the moments we have shared with our mothers, to show appreciation for the mothers in our lives, and to hold space for those who may be struggling on this day. ๐
National Hospice Palliative Care Week is a time to shine a light on the important work being done to provide quality palliative care in Canada, to raise awareness about how palliative care can help when life-limiting illness touches our lives, and to advocate for accessible care for all.
This week is an annual campaign organized by Canadian Hospice Palliative Care Association, with this yearโs theme being โPalliative care is for youโ because life-limiting illness touches us all in different and many ways.
Palliative care can:
โข Support caregivers and their loved one facing illness, so you can navigate this challenging journey together.
โข Guide you through the uncertainties of life-limiting illness with warmth and stability. With personalized support tailored to your needs, it illuminates the path forward based on what is important to you.
โข Offer comfort and connection when you are overwhelmed. It helps families facing illness find peace and moments of togetherness in difficult times.
โข Add companionship to your life. It connects you with people who understand how lonely it can be to face an illness or to care for someone who is sick.
