We are reopening registration for our Intermediate Anishinaabemowin (Ojibwe) and Language Tables/Classes.

Classes are every Tuesday and Thursday from 11:25 AM - 12:25 PM CDT.

They started Tuesday, January 4th, and will end on Thursday, March 24th.

If you can introduce yourself in the language, you know a few words and you want to learn how to use them, you are ready for MICEC’s Intermediate Anishinaabemowin Language Table.

During the month of March, we will be practicing asking and answering questions about our names, clans, where we are from, what the weather is like and what we are doing. You don’t need to know all this vocabulary to learn with us.

We will also learn our plural pronouns and practice plural conjugations.

Each month we start fresh, beginning with introducing vocabulary and pronunciation, engaging in interactive activities, building dialogues through group work and then sharing and review.

Manitoba Métis beader heading to Paris Fashion Week | CBC News Jessie Pruden's small beading business has taken off, and now she is heading to Paris Fashion week to show off her beaded earring designs.

This past Saturday, on February 5, 2022 we gathered for the very first Drum Group "Practice". This beautiful and powerful community initiative is in collaboration with the Three Sisters Bannock House 💙

Men's Drum Group will commence each SATURDAY from 3:30pm to 6:30pm at 908 Rosser Avenue. We welcome all men of all ages and stages of life to join us each Saturday as we come together as one, and embrace the beat of the drum as one.

At this time, we also want to give a special THANK YOU to Mr. Doug Gerrard who has helped bring together the Indigenous way of life within John Howard Society. He has been our guide through many ideas and programs. The Men's Resource Centre of Brandon are forever grateful for his time and commitment to the Community. 💚
