Happy Birthday! We held a small ceremony at Brandon City Hall to mark the occasion. The Royal Canadian Navy Ensign will fly at City Hall until Monday, June 9th in honour of the HMCS Brandon.
Brandon Salutes committee member and member of the original commissioning committee, George Haggerty, raised the flag along with Acting Mayor Jason Splett.

Brandon Salutes and the City of Brandon will honour the 25th anniversary of the commissioning of the HMCS Brandon at a flag-raising ceremony at Brandon City Hall, Wednesday, June 5th at 1:30pm. The City will raise the Royal Canadian Navy ensign to recognize the BRANDON’s years of service to Canada. The HMCS BRANDON is the namesake ship of the City of Brandon. Join us at City Hall (410-9th St) to celebrate this milestone.
Another group of soldiers based at CFB Shilo has deployed overseas. So that means we will be sending them some well wishes from home! We've got a big stack of postcards ready to go and will be collecting more in coming weeks. If you want to send a postcard to our deployed neighbours stop by the Brandon Chamber of Commerce offices on Rosser Avenue.
