I am so glad you are here 🤍
For those new here, I am a Naturopathic Doctor practicing in Ontario.
I love helping women find the root cause to their hormonal imbalances! 🌼
I found my passion for Naturopathic Medicine at a young age after witnessing the impact nutrition and supplements had on my cystic acne, anxiety, me**es and insomnia.
I look forward to being a part of your healing journey ✨

Don’t forget about the fundamentals for healthy hormones 🌿
🌼 Balanced diet - A great way to ensure a meal is balanced is by aiming to have a palm-sized portion of protein, a cupped hand-sized portion of a starchier carb, one fist-sized portion of a less starchy vegetable and about a thumb-sized portion of a healthy fat.
🌼 Sleep - Aim for at least 7-8 hours per night.
🌼 Movement - Try to get at least 30 minutes of movement each day.
🌼 Reduce stress - Easier said than done... I know! Try to start incorporating things that help you destress, whether that is a nice bath, a walk, a breathing technique, etc.
🌼 Having at least one formed, easy to pass bowel movement each day
🌼 Have at least 6-8cups of water each day
Remember that everyone is different, and their demands for these essential things may differ.
Are you struggling with your hormones or one of these fundamental things? Let’s chat❣️

Happy Earth Day! 🌎
I personally feel like every day is Earth Day and we should praise what Mama Nature provides.✨
Mama Nature provides
💚 Food
💚 Medicine
💚 Healing when we are low
💚 Lessons to learn
Just like any relationship, there should be a balance of giving and taking. Sometimes I feel like humans can become so distant from that thought process and continue to take. It is important to take steps (even if they are small) to give back.
Some examples can include:
🌿 Plant a tree
🌿 Pick up garbage in your neighbourhood
🌿 Recycle
🌿 Limit your use of plastics and waste
🌿 Buy local food
Take an extra moment today. Breathe in the fresh air. Listen to the birds sing. Thank Mama Nature for all she provides to us. 🌎✨
To all you beautiful, strong women, keep shining bright!! ✨
Happy International Women’s Day! 💕

✨For anyone who needs to hear this today✨
It can be difficult not to be hard on yourself. I get it, I would be guilty if I said I didn’t do this. It is so easy to pick out all the negative things within ourselves and forget about the abundance of positive things.
I write this with tears in my eyes because it is something I needed to remind myself of today.
Don’t forget, you are amazing. You have so much to offer to this world of ours. Keep shining bright ✨

✨Cholesterol✨
Did you know that cholesterol is needed to make certain hormones including estrogen, testosterone, progesterone and DHEA. 🤯
This is super important to emphasize because cholesterol isn’t necessarily bad. It is all about balance! ☯️
👉🏻Even if you have high cholesterol and are being treated, you still need some cholesterol in the body to create certain hormones.

✨Signs you may have a B12 deficiency✨
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Do you experience any of the following?
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
👉Fatigue
👉Paleness
👉Weakness
👉Tingling or numbness in your legs or arms
👉Change in mood
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
If so, you could potentially be dealing with a B12 deficiency! 😱
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
This isn’t a complete list of signs and symptoms of a B12 deficiency but it is a few common signs I see in practice.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Do you think you may have a B12 deficiency? No sweat friend, it can be reversed. 🌼
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
It is always best to work with a professional to complete blood work to see what’s actually going on. If in fact you do have this issue, they can guide you on the next steps to reverse the deficiency.
