We are very excited to welcome back Coach Justin Stevens to the YPDC!

Justin is currently going into his 6th season with the the University of Guelph Men’s hockey team where he is the Associate Head Coach! Welcome back Coach Justin!

We are very excited to welcome back Coach Mark Duarte to the YPDC! Mark attended the camp in previous years as a camp attendee and will now transition into one of our coaches.

This past season Mark won an OHL Championship with the Hamilton Bulldogs! This season Mark will be attending rookie camp for the Nashville Predators in the NHL! Welcome back Mark!

We are very excited to welcome Coach Matt Duarte to the YPDC! Matt attended the camp in previous years as a camp attendee and will now transition into one of our coaches.

Matt will be playing in the BCHL this season for the Cranbrook Bucks! Welcome back Coach Matt!

Coach Andrew played professional hockey in Sweden last year for Tyringe in Division 2, welcome back to the YPDC Coach Andrew!

2021 YPDC CAMP ANNOUNCEMENT

We are very excited to announce we will be running a mini-camp this August. Due to the Covid-19 Protocols we will only be using the facility to run our on ice sessions. These skates will focus on key areas of skill development including power skating, stick handling, passing, shooting, game transferable skills and having as much fun as possible while on the ice!

**DUE TO COVID 19 FACILITY RESTRICTIONS AND SAFETY PROTOCOLS WE WILL HAVE 4 GROUPS WITH A MAXIMUM CAPACITY OF 18 KIDS PER GROUP, LIMITED SPOTS AVAILABLE**

2020 YPDC Camp Cancelled

INTRODUCING our first ever YPDC VIRTUAL HOCKEY CAMP!

We have decided to shift the hockey camp to our first ever "YPDC VIRTUAL HOCKEY CAMP" which will take place the same week the camp was supposed to be, August 10, 2020 - August 14, 2020. Our goal is to EDUCATE, INSPIRE, and MOTIVATE all of the young hockey players into making their dreams become a reality!

All details for the Virtual Hockey Camp are below.

Date: August 10, 2020 - August 14, 2020

Time: 9 AM - 12 PM

Location: Zoom

Includes:
- Workout Sessions (Speed work, strength training, plyometrics, cardio) no equipment needed
- Stickhandling
- Off Ice Shooting Development (snap shot, wrist shot, slap shot, different types of releases)
- Mental Strength Training Sessions
- Nutrition Talks
- Guest Speakers

Price: $240

Daily Schedule Example:

9:00 AM - 10:00 AM: Warm up/Workout

10:00 AM - 10:30 AM: Mental Strength Training/Nutrition Talk

10:30 AM - 11:00 AM: Stickhandling Development

11:00 AM - 11:30 AM: Guest Speaker

11:30 AM - 12:00 PM: Shooting Development

YPDC is introducing our first ever "AT HOME" Training Program! These sessions will all be completed online through the video conference website, Zoom.

Each session will be 60 minutes long which will include:

1.Mental Strength Training - 20 Minutes
2. Workout (No Equipment Needed) - 20 Minutes
3. Stick Handling - 20 Minutes

This program will run daily (Monday to Friday) at 11 AM starting Monday, April 27th, 2020.

Congrats to the Guelph Gryphons and 3 of our YPDC coaches, Justin, Michael and Marc on a great season. The 18-19 campaign included an OUA silver medal, as well as a 4th seed in the U Sports National Championships in Lethbridge, Alberta where the boys fell to University of Saskatchewan in the quarter finals.
