It was quite amazing, to see all the historical artifacts that were at Lansdowne Children's Centre from the past 50 years. Not to mention the great discussions, with all the departments, with regards to the impacts Lansdowne has had on the Community over the last 50 years, and the plans moving forward into the future. Thank you Rita-Marie Hadley for inviting me to such a wonderful event.

Fall is a great time for installing perennial plants in a waterwise landscape. Due to cooler weather at this time, less watering is needed to help drought-tolerant and native plants become established. Once established, your landscape should survive mainly on rainfall, which will save you on the cost of watering annually. For more tips and info, visit Brantford.ca/WaterConservation

Effective Tuesday, September 3, 2024, Brantford Transit will introduce a revised fall schedule aimed at improving service reliability and meeting the evolving needs of riders.

Key changes include increased service frequencies on Routes 4a, 4c, 6 and 9, which will operate every 20 minutes, and Route 7, which will run every 15 minutes during the afternoon and early evening hours from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday to Saturday. These adjustments are intended to provide more consistent and dependable service during periods of higher ridership.

Additionally, Brantford Transit will extend its late afternoon service hours, introducing hourly evening service starting at 9:00 p.m., Monday to Saturday, to accommodate the increased demand observed during these times.

A comprehensive system optimization plan, developed after an extensive review of current routes and rider and community feedback, will be presented to City Council in the fall of this year. This plan aims to refine the transit system further, addressing service gaps and enhancing overall efficiency.

Riders are encouraged to visit the Brantford Transit website at www.brantford.ca/Transit for the most up-to-date schedule information.
