The City of Brantford recognizes the month of November as Domestic Violence Month to raise awareness of intimate partner violence and the multiple forms of harm caused by a current or former intimate partner or spouse. Domestic Violence impacts people of all genders, ages, socioeconomic, racial, educational, ethnic, religious and cultural backgrounds. However, women account for the vast majority of people who experience this form of gender-based violence and it is most often perpetrated by men. Help break the silence on domestic violence in our community by supporting Nova Vita Brant's Domestic Violence Prevention Services: https://novavita.org/break-the-silence/

November 11. The most unforgettable day of the year.
We pause together to honour those who have served and continue to serve for peace and freedom.
Across the country today, Kin Canada clubs will be taking time to honour and remember all who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. Lest we forget.
Happy Halloween to all trick-or-treaters in Canadian communities. We wish you a safe, fun, and bountiful evening!

That’s why we need to hear from you! These are all ways that a service club is essential for you and your community.
Kin Canada has been around for over 103 years and serving our community’s greatest needs throughout that time. And we also know how that looks has changed dramatically over those 100+ years.
We are asking for your input today to help us examine what this looks like for our current communities’ needs and how we can adapt to better meet those needs.
Thank you for helping shape the future of Kin Canada!
As a thank you for your time and feedback, you will have an opportunity to opt-in to a draw. A minimum of 8 winners will be drawn. Winners will choose a registered Canadian charity to receive a $250 donation in their name. All individuals who complete the survey by November 15, 2023 are eligible to opt-into the draw.

THE KIN CREST
The Kin Crest is composed of a Cross & Square intertwined, surrounded by 13 Maple Leaves and 1 scroll with the Kin Canada name written on it.
The cross is the St. Andrew's cross, which has been the symbol of service by personal sacrifice for centuries, and is the underlying principle of the Kin Association.
The square has been the symbol of virtue and justice for even longer. This part of the emblem stands for integrity of character.
The 13 maple leaves are emblematic of the 10 Canadian provinces and 3 territories.
The maple leaf on top represents your province, denoting the National scope of the organization.
The design the cross & the square are so intertwined as to be insuperable.
This is the finest illustration of the idea of Kinship: Kin is a word for relationship. It suggests the intercrossing and interlacing of the lives and tasks of Kin Members. Kin recognize the necessity to be a part of the community they live in.
The design stands as a protest against isolation & apathy.
