Beekeeping is sweet

What makes beekeeping so special? 🐝

In Guatemala, beekeepers like Eddy use their hives to inspire their families.

With increased bees in the region, farmers can produce more honey to sell, see increased yields on their farms from pollination, and can afford to encourage their children to continue their studies.

We're all a buzz about bees, want to join us? 🍯

You can help provide beekeeper training so more fathers like Eddy can support their families. Shop now: https://worldrenew.ca/product/beekeeper-training

Refugee Sunday
Today is Refugee Sunday – a chance for churches across Canada to pray, discern, and learn more about our Refugee Sponsorship and Resettlement Program. We thank the many churches that are currently in the process of welcoming newcomers and those who have sponsored in the past. We pray for continued peace and prosperity. Programs in Nicaragua
We love water projects too, Maria Luisa! 💙 Here's a special note from our team in Nicaragua about what makes our work special and just how important it is to celebrate with communities, women, and girls alike. Please continue to pray for World Renew Latin America as they work with local partners to support vulnerable families.

Women of Hope
Celebrating Women of Hope! As Proverbs tells us, “She is clothed with strength and dignity” — we know so many women who embody these words. Today, we pray for the many Women of Hope in our lives who are trailblazers of kindness, courage, and compassion. Praise God that He has called so many women into love. Will you support Women of Hope today? Visit worldrenew.ca/womenofhope to learn more. Happy Mother’s Day!

Earth Day
How can you steward creation today? 🌍️ On #EarthDay, we are grateful for God's gift of the earth and we commit to caring for the land around us. From nurturing the soil to planting trees, and rotating crops to finding fuel alternatives, we are striving to be good stewards - and so are many communities around the world!

A prayer for clean water
As we approach World Water Day, please join us in praying for global water access. Creator God, please: 💧 Send rain where the land is dry 💧 Allow new water sources to be found 💧 Strengthen local community health volunteers who provide hygiene training 💧 Encourage local waterkeepers as they monitor their water supplies

Thank you!
From all of us, thank you! We greatly appreciate your ongoing prayers and generosity towards our work with Canadian Foodgrains Bank. Together, we are ending hunger and equipping families to change their story of hunger into hope.

Join us in a LIVE devotional! Chris, Jamie, and Naomi chat about our work with Canadian Foodgrains Bank in Madagascar and the state of hunger amid drought and climate change. To access resources ahead of Canadian Foodgrains Bank Sunday, visit: https://worldrenew.ca/resources

World Radio Day
How can a radio program spark hope? Across West Africa, volunteers are meeting with communities to facilitate trauma healing sessions. But how can families receive support when it is unsafe to meet? That’s where our staff and partners got creative! Replicating the curriculum from in-person sessions, the trauma healing programming has been recorded and translated into local languages. Through radio programs, trauma healing sessions are now broadcasted into cars, homes, and mobile devices. Today on #WorldRadioDay, we celebrate stories like this man and his wife who are learning to rebuild their relationship and advocate for each other. Please continue to pray that these radio broadcasts will reach even more communities.

Community Transformation
That's the power of community transformation! 👏🏽 Listen to Steve, our Country Director in Nicaragua, share one of his favourite parts of World Renew Latin America's work within this region.

Agriculture Training
A gift that multiplies in more ways than one! When you give the gift of Agriculture Training, a local volunteer is equipped with tools and knowledge to bring into communities. When local farmers gather to receive training they learn from one another, share their successes and struggles, maximize their crop yields together, and are empowered to share these skills with their neighbours. Just imagine how many farmers can be inspired by just one training session! Shop this gift: https://worldrenew.ca/product/agriculture-training

Give the gift of a pig!
This gift is kind of a “pig” deal! With the gift of a pig, families can start a pig-breeding business! Raising pigs to sell for income allows farmers to save and provide food for their families. Better yet, one piglet from the first litter is given to a neighbouring farmer to support their business too. That way, the whole community can benefit! Giving Tuesday
Tuesday will be an incredible opportunity to come alongside those facing hunger. Our Canadian Executive Director, Jamie, brings us a story from his time in Madagascar and just how important emergency food can be for vulnerable families. Don’t forget, this Giving Tuesday we can match a challenge gift of $508,000 given by a generous donor. This, along with a 4:1 match with Canadian Foodgrains Bank, means when you give the gift of Emergency Food for a Month, your impact is multiplied 5X! Learn more: worldrenew.ca/givingtuesday

Spread the word! Tomorrow, Thursday, November 9th, our friends at 100 Huntley Street will air a special feature on our work in Madagascar with Canadian Foodgrains Bank amid drought and hunger. We hope you'll tune in!

World Hunger Devotional
Hunger for Good at all times: Chris and Naomi discuss the challenge of embracing hope, faith, and compassion when circumstances are tough.

Farmers in Bangladesh face many challenges; too much and too little rain, and soil erosion, to name a few. While recognizing climate change as a main driver of these issues, one region of farmers is choosing to learn about the integration of agriculture development and climate responsiveness. In total, 1,900 farmers have begun to adapt their fields and advocate to local leaders about the importance of climate-adaptive methods!

World Hunger Sunday
Today is World Hunger Sunday. Churches across Canada are praying, worshiping, and joining together to hunger for good. When we partner with families to support agricultural training, income-generating opportunities, and food support, the story of hunger changes. Your gift today will provide farmers with tools and training. Give now: worldrenew.ca/hunger
