We’re Moving!

When I opened my store 10 years ago, my current location was the smallest location available in Downtown Burlington. Even though I knew it was way too big, the location was perfect. And I knew I could make it work. I bought extra large furniture, big vintage tables and large hangers to fill all the space.
It took me 10 years to finally fill it with merchandise!

Now coming up on our 10 year anniversary in March, I was ready for change. It was very obvious that the space we had was not being used to my advantage.
Our current location has so much space that no one uses, not even staff! and I’m paying prime dollar per square foot for it.

10 years being on Downtown Brant St., there had never been a location become available that was smaller then mine… and those unused square feet kept killing my heart (and my bank account).

I had the luck of my life when I contacted an old friend who owned the Castelyn’s building. It was not up for lease, it was just empty waiting hoping to be sold. The detail in this shop reminds me of Europe, and I’ve always admired it’s beauty.
I frequented this chocolate/coffee shop my first 6 years of business. The owners always helped me out when I needed it as I started my new business. She knew my whole family, even both sides of parents, and was around when I was pregnant too!

I feel like the luckiest person, I am so grateful that after 4 years of them turning down renters and buyers, they chose me.
I will cherish this location and am so happy to have a landlord that is my friend ❤️
