My Onboarding Program is:
- 1 two hour virtual session for us to get to know each other and learn the ropes
- 2 in person outdoor group sessions

Once you are onboarded, to can continue coming to group classes and keep working with your dog!

I take a personal approach to dog training.

I want to know you and I want to know your dog. I want to know your goals. I want to be part of your journey.

It's why I finally decided to make the Inspire Dog Training Community after months of thinking about it. I want to hear what you are up to with your dog and how things are going. Hear about your highs and your lows. Have discussions, address questions.

Community support is so valuable when you share your life with a dog. Somewhere to turn when things aren't going well and somewhere to celebrate when things ARE going well. A place to grow and learn and explore new thoughts and ideas. Seeing what other people are up to and thinking "oh right! I should do more of that!" or "I need to keep that in mind when I work with my dog!". Most dog training doesn't happen an hour a week, it happens in day-to-day life.

If you want these things, too... consider joining. I'm hopeful it will be a lot of fun :)

I'm going to be offering some classes for the Inspire Dog Training Community!

I've structured an onboarding program, but if you have taken the Lifestyle Class before connect with me and we can get you right into Community Classes.

The Onboarding Program is to help new members on the community get started training with us.

We start with a 2 hour virtual orientation before attending in person sessions to go over stuff like:
Dog Body Language
Class Structure
Etiquette For Dogs In Public
Training Techniques and Concepts
Recommended Gear

After the virtual session you can attend our Community Classes. For your first 3 classes you will receive extra support and attention during sessions to help you and your dog settle in and learn the ropes.
Priced at $160+gst

After you’ve finished our Onboarding Program you can continue attending classes indefinitely. Pricing is per handler and you can rotate dogs during sessions.

These classes are to work on various life skills as well as skills needed to navigate dog sports. I take into consideration each team’s individual goals and often teams are working on different things for a customized coaching experience rather than a “one size fits all” training curriculum.

All classes are outdoors and subject to cancellation due to weather.
Individual sessions are $20+gst per handler and available after you’ve completed the onboarding process.

Our Lifestyle Class is evolving 👀

Introducing the OUT & ABOUT program!

I've run this program a couple of times now, and the focus has shifted. This program is an outdoor training class focused on socialization (or remedial socialization) for dogs to learn how to exist in the world and around each other. This program focuses on helping dogs feel calm and comfortable out in public.

We focus on engagement, loose leash walking and recall skills in a real-world environment!

I've changed this program to include TWO group walk sessions in place of a group walk and off leash session. I feel like there is just so much more we can practice with the group walks that I wanted to have two sessions devoted to it! I also don't want to exclude anyone who isn't feeling ready to get their dogs in an off-leash setting yet!

Our SOCIAL CLUB is also growing! Social Club members are people who have taken the program and its an opportunity to stay connected and keep training, and there is potential for private off-leash meet-ups as well as group walks and training meet-ups. Social Club Members can also drop-in to extra spots in the main program for only $10!

I have the next set of this program OPEN for registration with the virtual session starting May 28th!

THE INSPIRE NOSEWORK CHALLENGE IS HERE!!!!

Hides are set and ready to be found in the deep SE this week! I will be posting which quadrant I'm setting hides in each week for those of you who are only joining us weekly!

The Inspire Nosework Challenge is to give scent detection teams opportunities to practice exterior hides in different locations around the city of Calgary. Hides will be set weekly on Mondays and be left up for 7 days. Teams have the option to do searches blind or known. Each Week will Consist of 2 hides. 1 Cocktail and 1 Single Odor. Odors used are: Wintergreen, Pine, Thyme, Birch, Anise, Clove, Cypress

Only ONE WEEK until the Inspire Nosework Challenge starts!

This is a great opportunity to practice your dog's exterior searches on your own time!

Hides will be set every Monday starting April 1st and will be left up for a week! Participants will get access to a "search key" and have the choice to run hides blind or known depending on their comfort level.
