Orders are open! We had a busy winter mostly spent at rink rather than the jewelry studio! We had a blast but now I am ready to get back to making pretty things for you!

💕 I am currently opening up five spots for family rings. I learned over Christmas that doing the family rings a few at a time has worked best. If you are interested , let me know! Once the five spots are full I will close family ring orders until I have those ones done and I am ready to do a few more.

What an amazing few days we have had! After two and a half years, we have finally been able to make the trip back to New Brunswick and be reunited with the people we love so much! It has been so so good for all of us!

What an amazing year it has been and I am so incredibly grateful for all of your support!

My family is FINALLY heading home to NB for Christmas!! To say we are excited to be reunited with our family and friends is a huge understatement! It has been very hard to be away for two and a half years! However, making jewelry for you has been something that has really helped me through it!

This necklace is actually my own family necklace. It has my grandparents all the way to my kiddos. There are a lot of ways to do these. It can be all members of your family, your immediate family, Grandmother with grandkids or just the kids in the family.

Family rings are absolutely one of my favourite pieces to make. They are far from the easiest but they hold the most reward. These rings mean so much to the owner, that having the privilege of being able to make them for that person, is the reason why the are my fave!

I know , I know …I just need you to know that this year I will only be taking Family Ring orders until Nov 5th. (Which is only 3.5 weeks away! 😳) If this is something you are thinking about as a Christmas gift, we should chat soon!

I couldn't bring you through the beginning steps of this project and not show you the finished piece!

I really loved making this piece. It was the first time since starting back at silversmithing that I pushed my skills and creativity. I hope to do more pieces like this in the upcoming year!

Moonlight on the Mountains

I am often asked how I go about making a piece.

One of the biggest challenges I have is that I can visually see in my head so clearly what I want to do but I have never been a great drawer. Thankfully I learned a few tricks at NBCCD and now able to at least get a semi-sketch of what is in my head out on paper.

So for this piece that is exactly where I started. A very rough sketch and started building the individual pieces out of wire. Getting everything to fit perfectly before soldering is super important so that once the soldering is done no adjustments are needed. Adjustments could lead to melting. Melting can lead to tears. 😂

This stone sat for TWELVE years in my jewelry supplies because I knew I would only use it for something special. It sat so long that description with the type of stone it was faded away.

Until last year - when I decided to participate in the Sparwood Art Competition. The idea was to make a piece of art that is inspired by what the area means to you. I looked at all of my stones and this one happened to land on my page horizontally even though I always looked at it vertically. And there it was. The "something special".

When I bought the stone, I had never saw the mountains in person. The "something special" was something that would mean so much to me years down the road. A few nights after moving to Sparwood and feeling a bit overwhelmed by the cross country move, leaving our family and friend - we were driving home and a full moon was lighting up the mountains. I felt completely at peace and knew we had made the right decision.
