Believe it or not, the oft-hated and misaligned font was designed for a purpose: as a font type for comic bubbles - at which it excels.
But take it out of its original context, jack it up to font size 27 and make it the title of your company’s financial statement, and it quickly becomes the butt of all jokes.
However, Comic Sans didn’t decide to make itself a title font. Ben from Accounting did.
