Expiration dates.... What are your rules around them? Do you use as a guideline or is it blasphemy to even consider using something post exp date?

I know for us it is going to vary greatly on the product in question. Some foods, such as milk, can be used after it sours for certain recipes!

MORE LASAGNA!! Just like the last post except without the beef. For those who prefer not to eat meat on the regular, we have lots of veggie options!

LASAGNA!!! Guess where that beef went 😄😄 This has become such a hit that we might have to consider stocking some frozen! But do not tell anyone this isn't even remotely 'authentic' lol 🤫

For the longest time it sat in my drawer because I had no clue what it was for. I absolutely love it now lol

All that cheese went into ALL THIS PIZZA! Our client literally lives off of these pizzas. We aren't complaining and neither are they! Fresh, delicious, easy to freeze and reheat. A quick, satisfying, family friendly meal :)

ALL THE CHEESE PLEASE!!!! One thing I cannot stand is skimping on ingredients to save a few pennies.... I absolutely refuse to do so. IMO it's worth it to go that little bit extra to ensure your meal is as delicious as it was intended to be! ☺️

Who else uses the window sill to cool food? Sometimes space is limited or I have a reason for it not going in the fridge. This method is millennia old, tried and true!

After all that work from the Moose camp trip I thought it would be a good idea to go on another hunting trip..... However, deer are much smaller than a moose so you get way less spoils for all your hard work! Still a wicked time and I think I'm getting better at the processing parts 😂

After 2 days of trimming, cleaning and processing we were left with a ton of meat! There will be full tummies all around.

Last post you saw where we stayed. This post you can see what happens after success. Not only did our group get a moose, they also had some beef to process too! We had some visitors help with the cleanup too!
It was a very busy and exhausting couple of days but totally worth it.

Being in the business of food and nutrition I love learning about different aspects of the industry and how so many things are connected.

Friday funny!! Sometimes after a long week a little old school comfort cheat food is required. It just so happens I have a mooch that will eat anything I do!😂 🍜

I absolutely love a good quiche but it isn't always feasible to make especially when you have time constraints. When that happens I like to throw together these quick and delicious egg bites! So simple and the flavor options are endless! And these eggs just happen to be direct farm fresh to table!

Here is a good photo to show that we all go through some trial and error! This dish tasted delicious but it sure doesn't look the most visually appealing... Lessons were learned here 🤣
