I truly enjoy for filling a couples dream reception . Bringing together a menu for two individuals can sometimes be challenging but it’s not impossible. My Christmas this past year was memorable. So many wonderful, talented people have come into my life recently and enriched my love for this busines. Colleen from is one of them. The opening film event of the 2022 VIJFF features local singer/songwriter Marley Biranbaum followed by "Alegria", a Spanish film about a reluctantly Jewish physician who faces her conflicted past when her family arrives to organize her niece’s Orthodox Jewish wedding.
Also included is a delicious nosh [Moroccan Custard-stuffed Bastilla ] specially prepared by chef Yousef Kayal of My International Table.

Premiere charcuterie boards are more frequently being requested. I think in part because of the artisanal products that I use.
Ibérico pork carpaccio, white truffle lebneh, three olive tapenade, handmade Bordeaux wine jelly and Ajvar spread are only some of the premium quality products that are my show stoppers.

Ahi tuna tartare with an Asian twist. One finely diced shallot, two cloves of garlic minced, half a thumb of ginger minced, one stalk of lemongrass minced, one birds eye chilli finely minced, a half tsp Dijon mustard, one and a half tsps of dark soy sauce, juice of half of a lime, salt and pepper to taste. Fold into 12 to 16oz of cubed ahi tuna. Top with a coddled egg yolk, garden chives and lumpfish caviar. Serve with fresh limes wedges and ciabatta crostinis. So refreshing, zesty and umami at the same time.
Filipino Pancit Canton. Pure comfort food from the Philippines. There are various different kinds of Pancit dishes in the Philippines 🇵🇭 which I will explore in the future. I was only introduced to this dish a day before yesterday and was so intrigued I set out to learn how to make it for myself. Relatively easy to make. Key ingredients are Filipino soy sauce, Chinese oyster sauce and Chinese sausage. Hence the brownish tone of the food. Like most cultures Filipino cuisine is a mashup of cultural ingredients. I started with sautéing in oil four diced cloves of garlic with two small onions cut into slivers. Cubed pork belly (one and half pound). 0ne diced Andouille sausage. I didn’t have Chinese sausage and I was hungry and wanted to get started lol. I put a nice sear on everything and cooked it down. To that I added a quarter cup of Filipino soy sauce, two tablespoons of oyster sauce, half a cup of water give or take, one cup of vegetable stock give or take, two cubes of Knorr pork bullion and salt and pepper. Always better to have more sauce than not. To the bubbling broth I added one full package of pancit canton wheat noodle ( close relative to chow mein noodles) and allowed them to soak pup the broth. That took less than five minutes. Two cups of pacific white prawns join the noodles and cook gently. Before all this I blanched in a pot of water shredded red and white cabbage, shredded carrots and Chinese long beans. The blanched veg all join the noodles and protein and have a little hot tub party. 😂 It’s easy peazy. Packs a lot of flavour and degrees of texture. Very addictive. Only downfall it’s different to photograph for instagram lol but I tried. Gana Sa Pagkain (Bon appétit)
