September 30th is National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. Today we remember and honor the lives of those affected by residential schools and commemorate the survivors and children who never returned home.

Today is National Coffee Day! With the occasion falling on a weekend this year, a few Safety Boss employees decided to celebrate early with a little Friday caffeine boost. Great coworkers and great coffee make the perfect blend!

A recent share your day from just north of Slave Lake! Work sites can often be on the noisy side depending on what activities are taking place. Safety Boss Medic, Yucheng C. says he enjoyed the pond area next to site as it was peaceful and quiet in comparison.

With the amount of travelling we do for work it is essential to practice safe journey management. This involves taking breaks when needed, checking in with Dispatch every couple hours, and letting the team know when you have arrived safely at your destination.

While en route to a recent project in British Columbia, Safety Boss team members Alex (not pictured), Patrick, Jam, Marisse, and Kylie shared some of their rest stop views with us. We hope you all enjoyed the lovely scenery (and ice cream) during your travels!

Labour Day has been a statutory holiday in Canada since 1894 and takes place on the first Monday of September. With it being the last long weekend of the summer, if you have the day off, how do you plan to make the most of it?

August 31st is International Overdose Awareness Day (IOAD). Today marks a day of remembrance and raises awareness surrounding overdoses and drug related deaths. We acknowledge the grief felt by families and friends as they remember loved ones affected by this national growing public health crisis.

Safety Boss was proud to be invited to sponsor a dinner at the Loon River Treaty Days last week. Employees Scott H. and Brittany R. made the trip out to prepare burritos for those in attendance. We hope everyone had fun and enjoyed the meal!

Job Requirements:

- Pass Pre-Employment Drug and Alcohol Testing
- Valid Rope Rescue certification (NFPA 1006)
- Valid H2S Alive, Standard First Aid/CPR – Level C, CSO (Common Safety Orientation), Confined Space Entry/Rescue, Fall Protection
- Class 5 Drivers License w/ a clean abstract is considered an asset
- 12 hour shifts

- Class 5 Drivers License w/ a clean abstract is considered an asset
- Physically capable of standing and walking for extended periods, occasional carrying of objects up to 50 lbs
- 12 hour shifts
