The 4th Calgary Pop-Up Care Village was a huge success! 🥳So many wonderful people came together in one space and a welcoming and kind community resulted. The weather may have been a bit cloudy but the atmosphere of the event was sunny! Thank you again to all the guests, volunteers and vendors at the event! Hi everyone! 🥳 The 4th Calgary Pop-Up Care Village is just around the corner, less than a week away! Here's our official poster for the event, please feel free to send it to anyone who may be interested and repost it to your story to share it with the community! Native Tongues Taqueria and Calgary Pop-Up Care Village are partnering up for this year's event!

The upcoming event will feature free and fresh tortas supplied by Native Tongues starting at noon until they run out. It's first come first serve, so be at Olympic Plaza early on August 21 to ensure you get the chance to get a taste of what Native Tongues is cooking up! See you there!

Ami Tea and Calgary Pop-Up Care Village are partnering up for this year's event!

The upcoming event will feature free bubble tea supplied by Ami starting at noon until they run out (which we're sure won't take long with how good their drinks are!). These will come in both a Thai Milk Tea and also a Peach Mango flavor! It's first come first serve, so be at Olympic Plaza early on August 21 to ensure you get the chance to enjoy what Ami Tea is brewing up! See you there!

Hey all! Do you have that article or, let's face it, articles of clothing that just sit there collecting dust in your closet? Do you have clothes you've outgrown or no longer can style? Or do you just have clothes you want to donate? If the answer to any of those is yes, bring them on down to Calgary Olympic Plaza on August 21, 2024, where they will be put to good use as part of the free clothing market we will have going on during the CPUCV! Check out the event too while you're there, where we'll have free food, drinks and entertainment for all! Hope to see you there!

Duo Zenon+ is coming to Calgary Pop-Up Care Village 2024!

Headed by Zenon, a bi-racial, non-binary singer/songwriter with a smooth voice delivering soulful music to your ears, you would be doing yourself a disservice by not tuning in. With lyrics that discuss social injustices, as well as Zenon’s struggles with their own mental health, this duo is sure to play music that everyone should be paying close attention to. Come catch Zenon+’s performance at the Calgary Pop-Up Care Village, from 12-12:30 PM, on August 21 at Calgary Olympic Plaza!

Tribe.1491 is coming to Calgary Pop-Up Care Village 2024!

Dwight Good Eagle Farahat, also known as Tribe.1491 is a jack of all trades, being a rapper, speaker, storyteller, social worker, the director of Indigenous Hip-Hop collective Tribe Artists society and more (we know, very impressive!). Having roots from Siksika, Palestine and Wales, Tribe.1491’s music contains messages of truth, hope, and empowerment, and encourages others to be aware of their own power and strength. With such a hopeful and timely message, there’s no reason not to check out Tribe.1491’s performance. Come down to the Calgary Pop-Up Care Village at Olympic Plaza on August 21 at 2-2:30 PM to Catch Dwight’s set!

Little Chief is coming to Calgary Pop-Up Care Village 2024!

Siksika hip-hop artist Little Chief is here to tell you a story through his high-energy lyricism and spoken word poetry, all while getting you moving with his hip-hop beats (He is, afterall, a member of Indigenous Hip-hop collective Tribe Artists Society). By telling you about the experiences of an Indigenous person navigating their way through city life, Little Chief’s performance is here not only to move you musically, but emotionally as well. Come watch Little Chief’s 1-1:15 PM performance at Olympic Plaza on August 21, as part of the Calgary Pop-Up Care Village!

Eazy G is coming to Calgary Pop-Up Care Village 2024!

Born in Belize and raised in Canada, Erick Gutierrez, aka Eazy G, is here to immerse you in his awesome energy and upbeat sound. Having Western Canadian Beatbox Championships under his belt, as well as having performed at One Love festival and opening for reggaeton superstar “Farruko,” we are unsure ourselves if there’s any way you couldn’t enjoy yourself at Eazy G’s performance at the Calgary Pop-Up Care Village. Catch Eazy G’s atmospheric set at Olympic Plaza on August 21, at 1:15-1:30 PM!

Tea Fannie is coming to Calgary Pop-Up Care Village 2024!

Starting off her music career on Treaty 6 land in Edmonton, Tea Fannie now calls Mohkinstsis home! With her no-bars-held lyrics that pack powerful punches to the audience, and diverse music style influenced by artists as varying as Whitney Houston, Green Day, and Nas, this is no average listening experience. Come watch Tea Fannie do what she does best at the Calgary Pop-Up Care Village, from 3-3:35 PM on August 21!

It was so great to have dental hygiene supplies at the Calgary Pop-Up Care Village!

This Wednesday, Inglewood Opportunity Hub and Eastside Community Mental Health Services will be stationed at the Calgary Pop-Up Care Village.

We will be providing harm reduction supplies to those in need, as well offering information about our programs and services.

The "Calgary Pop-Up Care Village", a community festival for anyone experiencing difficulties will be held tomorrow. Join us and don't miss your chance to talk with our staff there to learn more about our programs and services. Calgary Pop-Up Care Village

Due to a last minute cancellation, our entertainment stage has a 2-4pm open time slot. Our festival is a place that community members can seek out services and information from the 50+ organizations and health services attending. We welcome any type of entertainment, just send us a message and let us know what your talent is 😁😁
